Even it's stated AUS/NZ server, the server is actually located in Singapore. So you can use VPN and route to Singapore directly, I am getting 160ms doing that. Hope this help. Various VPN has various results too depending on your location, so make sure you try before you purchase any of those.

@Aleunne, you can try battleping, wtfast, pingzapper etc.. I tried a lot of them and battleping gives me the best latency. I am connecting to d3 aus/nz now at 160-170ms. You can try battleping free trial (dc every 20min) and test how it works for you. Trial and error all their MY/SG servers and find the best one for you.
