recently withdraw my FD from BR. Notice 2 things here
1) If your maturity date falls on Public Holiday although you opt for automatic renewal the renewal date will not be on the Public Holiday but the next day of the public holiday. Not aware of this all this while.
2) BR don't issue cheque/bank draft when you want to uplift your FD. Either will transfer to your existing BR saving account or others bank account. RM2 charges applies.
Gonna park my FD in MBB 3+3.. or anyone have better suggestion?

QUOTE(HJebat @ Aug 20 2014, 11:13 PM) Are sure BR doesn't issue bank draft anymore? I kena RM2.00 in June although it was posted here that the cheque is FOC. The branch from my area just held its open house last week. Only selected customers were invited. Learned one gate-crash skill from you today. Next time just need to find out the time & date of the open house. Show up at the time mentioned to do simple stuff & gain entry to the party Usually i will get cheque upon FD maturity but 2 previous experience with BR and KFH also the same. The banks are reluctant to issue cheque but i forgot if i had pay for the transfer for KFH FD.

QUOTE(BoomChaCha @ Aug 22 2014, 12:02 AM) Ah Flo, May I have your permission to use your May bank's 12 months FD rate table on my Post #2210? If BR transfers our funds to our BR saving accounts after our FDs are matured, then can we request a banker's cheque to withdraw from BR saving account on the spot? In that case you need to buy bank draft from BR yet still subject to charges.
