Yes, one inactive saving account for more than a year will get debited RM 10.. biggrin.gif
You can calculate ma.. 10 saving accounts will lose RM 100 to bank biggrin.gif

Bank will suck your money in your saving account until your money finish, then
close account automatically without acknowledgment.. biggrin.gif

Bank will debit your RM 1, then they close your saving account immediately.
Bank normally will not ask you to pay the balance RM 9.00, they will just let it be..

Now Public Bank requires minimum balance RM 20 in saving account.. sweat.gif

RHB's 15 mth rate to me is good. First time to put FD into something that has CASA requirement. But the effective rate is rather attractive.  rclxms.gif  biggrin.gif

Actually for RHB 15 months, if you re-deposit the interest paid every 3 months to your CASA to 1 month rate of 3.25% - you would gain additional 0.7474%

Meaning total effective will be approx. 4.14%

Cons:
1. very small if principal amount is small; might not even worth the hassle to withdraw from RHB every 3 months.
2. to deposit for 1 month minimum 5k required or 3 months you would need 1k.

Example with 100k deposit

[attachmentid=4064587]

If deposit 10k i think no one would go withdraw less than 100 bucks interest every 3 months for this 0.7% gain.

Not much different between 3.85% or 3.9% as my principal is less than RM20k
