I want to know why my whole cpu will vibrate after i install my 92mm panaflo fan with thermalright xp90 heatsink? So far i know the vibrate is come from the fan, but is it panaflo fan will giv such vibration? Even i can feel the vibration when i touch the table (the cpu is put on the table).
Hm...any expert here know how to overcome the vibration? I check n rescrew already the screw on heatsink n mobo, i also got paste the rubber between the heatsink n fan. icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

Something could be blocking the fan blades when it's spinning or you didn't tight it enough with the provided clips?

The fan is how many CFM and RPM? Normal fan won't vibrate but sound noisy only if they're high RPM. Might be something wrong with the bearing.

Ya...it is using clip to hold the fan, but the vibration on fan can feel while i typing here.
Is it possible that i drop the fan b4 so will cause it vibrate?

by right wif HWB it supposed to axial reduce friction...even my 12cm 114 cfm panaflo din move when i leave it alone on the table...and without nothing blocks the air intake path the fan itself will produce very low sound...almost silent...

one more thing does the sound of the fan like not smooth...like zngg zngg zngg...maybe tat indicates physical damage...

im not sure tho...just from my exp...

Did you install the white rubber strip which was included with the heatsink?

I'll tell you the exact reason, is the fan connected to the mobo? If it is it will rattle and vibrate becuase Panaflo's do that all the time because of undervolting. My 120mm H series does that to if I use 5v connection. That's why I leave it at 12v
