QUOTE(faridr @ Apr 11 2014, 07:37 AM) Well, most of the mouse recommended are optical and based on avago 3090 sensor. Currently I'm using G400s (avago 3095, logitech version of 3090) and Kana v1 (pixart 3305, which got many complain, but updated with latest firmware to fix jitter problem) side by side, with 400 cpi, I dont feel any different at all. I guess some people are just way to darn ocd'ed. i concur with this suggestion, the G500s seems like a good replace for u Silverfire, it also has quite a number of side buttons, up to 10 cuztomizable buttons iinmIf you can live without easyshift, maybe g500s? Seems to be similar on shape |

hi everyone, i need a mouse to replace my double-clicking CM Storm Inferno. i need a optical mouse that is durable and comfortable. claw + palm grip hybrid. preferrably below rm200. below is a list of mices i found, but not really sure about their durability as i tend to click a lot, even while reading a wall of texts..
1. Razer DA 2. Steelseries Rival 3. CM Storm Alcor |

mini review of the SS Rival
![]() compared to my previous CM Storm Inferno, the SS Rival is significantly longer but shorter at height. the weight is about the same. Rival's mouse click is stiffer but easy to adjust to and the noise is softer than the Inferno. there are two things to complain about the Rival. 1) that it doesn't come with braided cable; 2) the middle button only toggles CPI but there's no indication as to which CPI profile is currently in use. Pros: Comfortable shape and matte surface Fancy 16mil lighting choices Soft mouse click sound Huge thumb buttons for easy access Simple and no-nonsense extra buttons Cons: Matte surface attracts fingerprints/sweat/dust Non-braided cable No indication of current CPI profile This post has been edited by ntw: May 5 2014, 01:49 PM |

QUOTE(jonathan_k @ May 7 2014, 02:42 PM) Steelseries Kinzu RM99Logitech G300 RM89 if you can stretch a bit CM Storm Alcor RM159, Logitech G400s RM150 QUOTE(mADmAN @ May 9 2014, 07:26 PM) my MX518 dieded since u come from MX518 and prefer its shape, why not go for the latest G400s? need replacement... G400 EOL already ah? now replaced with G400S? need something with similar shape... with forward and back buttons.. +/- dpi buttons and 1 more customizable button (similar buttons to MX518)...that customizable button must be able to set to minimize window. below 100 any recommendations? QUOTE(Farlz_89 @ May 11 2014, 09:31 PM) Hi all..sorry if off topic if im not mistaken, the Razer DA2013 should have a really silent n solid scroll wheel. normally the squeaky sound means the scroll wheel axis already worn out due to long usageany Deathadder 2013 user here and got problem like mine? I noticed the scroll wheel occasionally squeaks while scrolling. And when I push the scroll wheel from the rightside to the left, I get a very squeaky sound and the scrollwheel moves quite much. Now when I push the scrollwheel from the leftside to the right there is no movement and no noise at all. I feel this quiet annoying. Damn, i'm just bought this mouse two days ago.. Can i request from shop to change to new one?..i dont want to rma because its will take long time |

QUOTE(Farlz_89 @ May 11 2014, 11:20 PM) Btw mine just bought new..maybe i got lemon unit maybe its a refurbished unit from razer factory or maybe just individual occurrence of defective unit. anyway, you paid a good amount of money for it, why should u not fully utilize its warranty when you believe (i believe it too) that you have received a faulty unit? the factory cant possibly qc all the mices produced rightHaiz..need to go to Jayacom after work tomorrow then |

QUOTE(Farlz_89 @ May 12 2014, 12:10 AM) Ya..i agree with u but w8 for warranty time is killing me + i dont have any mouse to use as backup as far as i know, your purchase is just a few days ago why not go for the 1-to-1 exchange instead of worrying about the warranty. what they will do is take back your faulty mouse and give u a new one, the whole process shouldn't take more than a few minutesbtw i will fully utilize the shop 1-1 exchange policy since their state 1 month for 1-1 exchange from purchase receipt date i did test the test unit from other shop and the scroll wheel is smooth and no squeaky sound at all. |

QUOTE(Farlz_89 @ May 12 2014, 12:19 AM) ya..thats what i hope. sellers wont let u test a sealed unit if u havent pay, but since the payment already made, just break the seal and test on the spot. but im not sure they will allow you to change to another mouse for warranty exchanges. anyhow u can check my previous posts in this thread for a mini review on the ss rival.let say if they exchange new one, i can test on the spot right? since they will give seal unit or possible to take another mouse? like Steelseries Rival i found that mouse nice also |
