after reading more and more about the g502, in the hunt of G9X replacement, i think i could have found the answer. damn self poisoning is heavy stuff.
initially was thinking of corsair M65, the closest claw grip I could find with good price.

i am also planning to get G502, because ive been looking for so long, for my G9X replacement, seems the market has none, until G502 shows up.
need more reviews and i also dislike the rubberish thingy, will degrade after a while and become sticky mess.

you need the logitech software (driver) to fully utilize the mouse powers.

the only mouse that could replace my G9/9x would be the G502. i have looked so long and finally logitech release a mouse like that. else I dont know what Im gonna do when my current one dies. models released between G9x and G502, design sucks, huge and palm like.

QUOTE(freakenstein @ Aug 23 2014, 10:58 PM) I had my G9x for like at least 4 years then the wire became loose or something , kept disconnecting if i swipe/bend it to a certain angle then I got the G700s , sorta okay mouse , quite an impulse buy so didn't do much researching about it , so it was quite a lot heavier than the G9x and the worst thing is the G700s is using the dreaded "Dry grip" coating which i hate from the G9x , I only use the Satin grip. Had to stick 2 sticky tapes at the right side for me to at least have some grip to play games lol. Not really a good coating anyway , started to chip off near my thumb area after one week , enlarging ever since. Anyway , I've retire the mouse now and went for the Zowie FK1 , not even looking back , sensor is so much better than both of them. The sensor in FK1 and G502 are the most regarded ones among the mouse enthusiasts community , did quite a bit of research regarding those lol. i hate the satin coating and palm grip. lol...i used dry grip all the way since G9 to G9X. my old satin coating for the G9 melted even i never used it before. no problem with grips for me tho. hmmm...my mouse has to be slim and low. so I am so glad logitech comes back with G502...long and low. before this i dont know what mouse as replacement because logi comes out with all the tallish palm fat ass mice that i hate so much. cant do with razer because QC sucks (loved the copperhead but lifespan sucks). G502 seems like a good upgrade. My G9X is not fully dying yet, just a bit skippy i think because of positive acceleration on the sensor.

QUOTE(neohwengtart @ Oct 1 2014, 09:37 AM) Different for me, i used before 3 models of logitech gaming mice, all got problem with right click after some usage period, some not even a year. I wonder all the logitech users here encounter the same issue as mine? which logitech mouse you used? i have G9 and G9X. the G9 middle wheel stucked due to dust i think but that lasted me 6 years i think. currently on G9X for ~2 years and going strong. logitech z5500 speakers, no problem. only display blink a bit after using more than 5 years. logitech G15 first version, using for more than 6 years. no problem, only satin coating melted. so i have faith in logitech products and will only buy their products since the case of razer. but had to get tartarus since the logitech keypad is too huge. LOL razer, 6 months RMA hong kong. new unit sell to a friend, non gamer, one year double click. wtf.

QUOTE(StuartLee2015 @ Jun 22 2020, 07:27 PM) Actually, the switches itself isn't faulty... it's just overtime it will have oxidation and kind of what caused double-click.... no mouse that uses omron switches are immune.... I've flatten my left and right switches , clean out the switches contact and the plate... and it's good as new. Never had problem with any of ny logitech mouse. Only happens to cheaply made razer. I got a copperhead once and sold it off after rma double click.

QUOTE(viqq @ Jul 29 2020, 04:07 PM) What mouse are u using ? regardless cheaply made or what made. what you pay is what you get. I bought a cheapo 1st Player mouse, the worst thing ever. RM59 if not mistaken. Sensor was off but the clicks was nice though. i missed out the logitech sales in april-may... when the g502 was going for only rm189.. My half year old G103 already giving me double clicking issues, luckily the computer allows me to top up and change to G Pro for rm179. Not sure if it's a wise decision but not many choices available at the time. Heard good things about the G Pro wireless , not so much on G Pro wired. Hope this can last me another 5 years. Game On Playas Wtf you talking roundabout man? Since when razer is cheapo mouse? You need to learn to differenciate cheaply made and cheap as in price. It should last longer not double click the hell out of me. After the razer shithouse, I got one logitech G9x, another Modern Warfare edition G9X and now mostly using G502. Never have double clicking issues for years now. Sorry I do not use cheap mouse. Logitech lasts so long, maybe I will buy another G502 wireless down the road.

QUOTE(StuartLee2015 @ Jul 30 2020, 10:21 AM) But if using the Logitech Powerplay to keep the mouse charged all the time, isnt it bad for the battery health/lifespan? same theory with wireless charging for phone, isn't it? I using G603, powered using double AA batteries, so i guess that's more realible and cost efficient but not as fancy as G502 wireless. there's Wired G502, but i don't want wires lol.. Heavy bro AA batteries. Hahaha i only use wired until now is because of the weight. Not sure about battery life and the powerplay pad is gonna be pricey. But value for money is still the wired version la. Not much difference if you have a mouse bungee it feels like wireless. I am too used to my g502 best comfort compared to my G9s.
