For right now, I try to do a mods to increase the performance of 360's cooling system. Got some Zalman's heatsink RAM and apply it on 360's RAM. This's not something big but just a try and error effort. So, here's the first step...

2nd report
Continue modding on improving the 360's cooloing system. This mod already done by people from overseas. I'm just make an extra mods on GPU coz I have an idea and stuff that might do the job. got to make it simple, already feels sleepy... I'm using an old PS2's(big) fan. You can see a lot of dust i'll clean it later. ![]() Did some cutting on both side and sanding too. ![]() Finished ![]() Fit it on CPU heatsink and tested. ![]() The result...wow i was amazed that how cool was the CPU heatsink. I can feel the air going through the heatsink. There's no more heat air coming out at back of the console. This only on CPU side but the air coming from GPU still extremely hot. My opinion, the GPU heatsink much more hotter than the CPU even before I fit the fan on it. And I believe the heat that coming out from the back majority coming from GPU. I've a little faith that what I'm gonna do tonight might not do much different. Unless the GPU's heatsink fitted with 60mm fan and that will surely you don't need watercooling to do the job. The only way stop it to do so is the lack of space for a fan to be fitted on GPU's heatsink Next report on GPU mods tonight This post has been edited by metalgrindsolid: Aug 3 2006, 03:06 AM |
