Greetings everyone..

Some helping hand needed here..
This is how the desktop looks currently..


1) How to remove all desktop's icon(MyComputer,RecycleBin,MyNetworkPlaces)?..
- i'd tried:-
i- TweakUI(not compatible i think.. cant install..)
ii- run>gpedit.msc>UserConfiguration>AdministrativeTemplates>Desktop>
- "Hide all icons in Desktop" Enabled + "Hide MyNetworkPlaces icon" Enabled
but... they didnt work as well...

2) How to change the VS?...
- Styler,StyleXP not compatible in Windows 2000
- the only tools available is WindowsBlind.. but the PC specs is Pentium MMX 200MHz + 128MB of RAM installed..
- is there any other way i can install them manually(like XP we can put the VS in "C:/Windows/Resources" folder)?.. sorry but I failed to find any usefull info in Google..

3) Besides that, anybody got cool Windows 2000's compatible VS to share with?..

to remove icon, try this:

1. right click your desktop.
2. select active desktop.
3. uncheck show desktop icon.

and you can only change your win2000 visual style using windowblinds

1. tweakui for Windows 2000, http://www.microsoft.com/ntworkstation/dow...g/NTTweakUI.asp

2. no VS, only Windowblinds

3. change the color using 3DCC

ermm can or not if u patch using uxtheme then change ur vs?

just my curiousity.. havent mod win2000 b4

^ err, you can't

u know what, all the icon suddenly gone after 2nd time logoff in with this pc.. i guess the change that i made in "gpedit.msc" b4 was just effective..
but the great thing now is when right click on the desktop, the context menu is gone..
sorry ijat i cant try ur method for the icon right now.. i cant reach 'em..
but seem like u know much about customizing windows 2000..
im just curious izzit possible to use all WB theme available with WindowsBlind in this M$ Win2000?..

brb after this.. gonna try TweakUI and get a copy of WB right now..

you maybe encounter a lot of problem while using wb.
taskbar not skinned etc etc.
my suggestion is look for an older skin.
