Quazacolt, different car, different setup, tires, tire pressure, all affect your launch and there's no 1 size fits all way to launch a car.
*
any general tip then?

I have. This applies to every driver and car.
Lessen your body weight  brows.gif  laugh.gif
The lesser you weigh, the lesser friction on the tyre and drag forces.  icon_idea.gif
Before you go drag, make sure dont eat whole day and eat "pou jai pill" and lau sai all ur poop come out  wink.gif

1st work with the torque graph. Find out the tallest torque/power output spot, that's where you jam your right foot on. Semi declutch like you're on a traffic light waiting it to turn green, if you're not too familiar can use handbrake assistance.

Once you're ready to launch, jump the clutch pedal and wait for clutch to bind with your flywheel, will usually have a short clutch spin. Your torque output should stay within range. The above example should be launching around 6krpm or 5.5krpm to be safe. Once the clutch fully bite, you're safe from wheelspun(unless you're using some really crappy hard compound tayar).

Lastly when you feel the grip, full toto! That's it.

ah a friend also mentioned using handbrake to assist... hmm if i semi declutch it wouldn't it burn my clutch or something?

like when it's go time do i still keep it semi declutch or do i just fully declutch?
when you mention semi declutch, the car would still be on standstill right? or would it start to creep already?

Standstill, and yes the point that clutch disc is burning but the car aint moving that point. Use to hold for uphill slope without brake.

Jump the clutch I mentioned, meaning when you have the green light you'll remove your left foot from clutch pedal very quickly. If that point of time your gas pedal wasn't at your top torque output, your car will stall instead of drop RPM to beginning of torque band. Go try 1st, stop asking until you tried.

gotcha, much thanks for the tips thumbup.gif

as i chatted with bro carrera_gt, seems like that new oil is oem'd from pennzoil latest base stock formulation using natural gas:

not bad, people are innovating new base stocks, eager to try out after motul 300v > torco sr1 (or 5 XD) > then the pennzoil platinum ultra with pure plus

dunno if that's change for all kfc or that particular kfc la, but first time eating whipped potato got very small garlic/fried onion chunks...

best of all, the gravy is not too watery/peppery unlike most kfc of recent times, cut cost to max sad.gif

Guise.

I'm organizing a dyno session next month @ Under5 garage.

I need 10 cars. Anyone interested? Price is very tempting (<RM80) if I can secure all 10 FF 2WD cars. biggrin.gif

=edit=
nvm saw your reply below, tentatively count me in.

i should be free during then and should require another dyno run
