OK.. i've been using Youtube for TV since Feb without problem but very recently it stopped allowing me to watch videos.. it says that the version of Youtube for TV i was using was going to expire soon bla bla bla and i needed to update via google playstore, the problem is playstore doesn't work on the hypptv box as we all know.

My version of Youtube for TV version is 1.7.6.

Is everyone still able to enjoy youtube videos? may i know what version of Youtube you are using?

Those with issue with YouTube, go find the app on Google Play and update it, then it will work. But the new app not as user friendly.

Soo I install netflix but left hanging since no control available.
Now suggest me possible way to control this netflix. remote desktop? hack to enable mouse somehow?

Ok apparently this box is IPv6 capable, thus defeating my DNS trick.
Anyone know how to disable IPv6 on this box?

Hi everyone,

Currently I'm busy with college, since I'm still in foundation.

I already acknowledged the patch, still working on it. Maybe-or maybe not we will see this box get exploited since HyppTV recovery now require signed key to install recovery on it. Best workaround for those who still not updated - is to disable the auto update.

Another option is to hardware-level flashing, but that requires opening the STB, hooking up a UART, accessing the serial console and so on. This method cannot be applied by normal end-users, which is us.

I will try to research more on this STB, since all my other exploits all requires recovery mode. But I can't promise when.

For those IPTV apps users, you can get decent Android box as cheap as RM150 online, with more decent specs than current HyppTV EC6106V5. Or just upgrade to EC6108V8 which is better.

For the past week i see the crack one which can unknown sources can be install gone..when i'm trying to install it again it stuck on the recovery mode...
