Possibly issue with the alternator or capacitor that stored electric power in the I-eloop function....lately did you do any wiring work to your car?

Since it is still under warranty, send back to SC la...(Take picture to show).

That issue could could be related to heavy rain yesterday
That is my bro car and Mazda said still can run but the car just stalled not long ago. Can't start and all indicators ate on in the dashboard. Able to start back after Turn off eloop and 10 minutes of wait.

Confirmed there might be problem, Mazda is now recalling their units:

http://m.autoblog.com/2014/04/04/mazda-rec...for-ecu-glitch/

Please let all your SA know about it so that they can tell BERMAZ to get in touch with MAZDA Japan. And send the new Program for software upgrade.

Then all the owner can make appointment with SC to have the software upgrade.

He called the service center directly after the indicator lights up and they said shouldn't be a problem and still can drive.
Thankfully this was not stalled on the highway and he going to complain this directly to manager

Not sure if we are affected as well?

Mazda recalls 88,000 vehicles fitted with i-ELOOP

it happened to my bro's car if you read back my posts. he brought it to mazda hq yesterday(probably complain too) but not sure what the solution is

luckily the car doesn't stalled in the middle of highway(on the way to ipoh from kl) and able to start it back after 5-10 minutes of the incident with i-eloop off

so the problem happens on heavy rain?
*
that article says it could be due to the heavy rain.
"According to Mazda USA spokesperson Beverly Braga, the control program in the ECU designed to protect the capacitor the energy is stored in is “reacting hyper sensitively when the alternator belt gets wet and slippage occurs”. This can affect acceleration and in severe cases cause the engine to stall."

main thing is the mazda service centre said to ignore the warning and the car still runable. fortunately no accident happen or else mazda will surely get sued

wth... this is serious bro. luckily no one get hurt. we cannot wait until somebody get into accident then only Bermaz will take action  vmad.gif
will call their customer service later whether our unit is affected or not.

the car is one of the first batch(got it right after CNY) and together with heavy rain these few days, i think is better to send to mazda just to be safe.

maybe in the meanwhile just turn off the i-eloop until you had it checked.
