QUOTE(XiuKeong @ Jun 4 2014, 11:28 AM) Motul doesn't come in 4L bottle like the one in SC. Each bottle is appx Rm45/liter. can we bring our own lube? And for those still have doubt on the semi-synthetic oil for our car, can refer to this link |

QUOTE(guilt79 @ Jun 4 2014, 05:24 PM) Brothers.. highway driving is always the best for engine..Before accusing Bermaz.. Remember Honda offer 2 years free maintenance? My Honda City was Free Service for 2 years. And they use the normal engine oil only. After my 2 years over, only they say I can use the semi or fully synthetic. Even I use their high Performance Fully Synthetic (the most expensive one) they also ask me to change every 5,000km I asked them, aren't Fully Sync can last 10,000km? Technician said "You can continue to service every 10,000km but it will shorten the lifespan for the engine. Whether fully or semi" After he said that, for the next 3 service, I use semi syn... Also, I told him that I'm frequent traveling outstation. He said actually, city driving is more damaging than highway drive because in city, we stop very frequently and causes wear and tear more on engine. I asked my other friend, SA for supercars also said city driving are more damaging to car's GB and engine in long run.. Who can verify this? 1. Constant rev ard 2-3.5k..gives you a good fc 2. good cooling as the car is moving im travelling avg 90km/day and my fc is 6.7l/100km |

Shell Helix ultra 4l - RM225 + 1l RM63 = 288
Shell Helix HX7 4l - RM125 + 1l RM35 = 160 Difference is RM128 if you upgrade from semi to fully.. ![]() pics courtesy of paultan.org This post has been edited by eau-rouge: Jun 10 2014, 02:43 PM |

QUOTE(Amras of Nargothrond @ Jun 11 2014, 09:46 AM) If the SA told me after the 1K service, then subsequently will only service at 10K, is that mean they are using fully synthetic oil? bermaz contract supplies Shell HX 7 which is semi synthetic. The service interval is 10kWhat will they use during the first 3 services? Is it mean fully synthetic oil by default? By reading all your comments, seem like if want to use fully synthetic oil, need to top up, and semi synthetic oil only last for 5K. A bit confuse, the SA told me service at 10K, if they by default using semi synthetic, why can wait until 10K? But seem like you guys all need to top up to get fully synthetic, if default semi is 5K only... which mean SA is not telling the truth or she didn't study well? so by default..every 10k service, they will use semi syn. the lubricant can last for 10k, but close to its maximum life compared to full syn. most owners opt for fully because of its long lasting life. some manufacturer push it to 20k |

QUOTE(Amras of Nargothrond @ Jun 11 2014, 10:35 AM) No since mazda recommends 10k. U need to follow manufacturer's recommendation or warranty will void. As for engine oil, as long as u use a higher grade its ok |

QUOTE(NatsuDN @ Jun 12 2014, 12:39 AM) anyone going to change back their oil filter to the Original part? Model "PE01-14-302" ?? now i believe that most of us that got the 1K service is using the alternative model which is "B6Y1-14-302A" (Cheaper) ... Oil filter wont do any harm. It is just a filter to filter the oil. I guess you r using semi syn after 1k serviceany1 feel any different after the service ? be4 my 1K service, i didn't really follow the "pantang" speed... i still Zoom Zoom, but feel very light and fast, but after service when i try to zoom, the feeling not the same..not as light as be4, was wondering if the oil filter is the one causing it anyone brother/sisters to confirm this? or was it my own imaginations? |
