I saw YouTube.

CX5 and M6 got this kick down switch. Since both cars share the same engine as M3, then should have this kick down switch.
*
What is the purpose for this kick down switch?

I think the I-Stop is an interesting topic.

It does vibrate because it restart the engine. Most of the time, I switch off the I-Stop because fear of it's durability.

I know some argue that it's not like other conventional start-stop engine but as long as it involves restarting, will damage spark plug and starter in long run.  hmm.gif

Thus, I switch it off, but do show significant fuel saving though.
*
i'm afraid of the engine mounting and the starter as you mentioned. it getting louder and bigger vibration when i travel longer...
can you still achieve good fc if you turn off istop? 8L/100km?

my phone (ip5s) wont rang when paired with infotainment...
it just vibrate no matter i set the ringtone option in communication>setting>ringtone to phone or car...it just vibrate only whenever there is sms or whatsapp coming in...only when call coming in, the "lady" will tell me there is a call...but not ringtone...
anyone know how to set it to ringtone and not vibrate?

Sorry. I mean switch on the I-Stop.  blush.gif stupid auto correct.  whistling.gif

But when off, I get 8.6L avg. turn on, 8.9L avg.

Not much difference.
IStop saves fuel by 10%  icon_rolleyes.gif then again if you can go 400km in single pump, now can go extra 40km at the cost of starter and combustion.  hmm.gif
So far Android phone got no problem. Got ringtone, whatsapp tone, LINE also got.
*
turn off istop can get better fc than turned on? shocking.gif
is the tone coming out from car speaker or from your phone?

If you receive the letter do it bro..but maybe all those coming this month would have been updated. No worries 3 years warranty so anything happens you still dont pay a cent. Just need to waste a couple of hours at their center or worst case scenario car does stall sue their ass off!
*
if my car stall sudd and accident i will sue until they pants off brows.gif
