AFAIK last time my fren worked in startbuck and yes they can get free drink during their break, you can make your own drink.

Didnt know going which branch yet, just feel that i am burnt out working my current job and wanting to take a friggin break.

besides, the pay is peanuts. 5 bucks per hour, and if you're single and lonely and walk to work with a rental of RM200 per month, you can afford simple pleasures in life. not much, but just minor simple pleasures.

thank god i left star*ucks

It's called a barista, not coffee maker. When I was working, part-timers get RM 5 an hour. Full timers get RM 750 per month I think.

It's hard work, but it's a lot of fun. But the money is most certainly not enough, don't you think? Even the managers get around 1K+.

The above mentioned figure is of course valid for Gloria Jeans, 4 years back. Don't know if things changed. tongue.gif

Yeah, you get paid RM4.50 as a part-timer and RM5.00 as a full-timer and trust me, you'll do all-arounder jobs for just that little pay, not too sure about DOME but surely it's the same since it's also FNB. Sliding anyone? tongue.gif

RM4.50 thats lame, but anyway i didnt expect they will pay too much anywayz. The only problem is that how am i going to suit my lifestyle from a 2k job to a less then 1k job...

so everyone agreed that working as a barista is a waste of time?

well say,is it better to work as a retail assistant(fold clothes etc) or barista(make coffeee etc)?
