QUOTE(hooi_jd @ Jul 21 2014, 10:15 AM) I'm always believe battery usage is highly relevant to what you are doing. I've just found out that unpin Cortana from start menu can solve the overheat+ sudden battery draining + loading start screen from sleeping mode issue.eg. Games requires 3D rendering definitely requires more power than indie game. You can't expect a car running in high RPM but not consuming fuel & generate heat. We need to be realistic. just my 2c. |

QUOTE(lyn_grayskale @ Jul 23 2014, 04:48 PM) On my 930, happened once yesterday - was charging on the Qi wireless. Took it off charging once reached 100%. Do you have Cortana pinned on start menu? If do, just unpin it, it cause the battery drain. The phone heated up and drained battery - by the time i realized, it drained until 85%. So i turned it off for 15 mins. Cooled down and turned it on - was fine after that. Not sure if it was caused by wireless charging.. |

Do your Cortana face "second command" location based queries problem after Update 1?
Like I ask her to take me to the nearest restaurant...... Then i tell her to drive me to one of the restaurant listed.....but she doesn't receive my reply and say "Sorry i didn't catch that".................................. |

QUOTE(mrl @ Jan 16 2015, 08:26 PM) Cortana and double tap shouldn't drain the battery that much. I used both and my discharge rate is around 5% per hour on idle. But use it for one hour straight it will be 15% per hour. Wow your 5 % per hours is high, on idle I can reach as low as 1.3% per hour with both features on.I also use trimmed sim, I don't observe abnormal battery drain. But I suspect that this kind of sim might cause reception issue which will lead to battery drain as well. I do have interrupted service from time to time. |
