QUOTE(fantasy1989 @ Jan 26 2015, 09:44 AM) i am not sure whether region restrict still available or not 8. Change the email sync time to lower (1h-2h) to conserve battery, you can still manual sync it if u felt like itmy side of setup 1st device is 1. Add account and sync contact (best is create and add 1 outlook/hotmail account and import it from there) 2. Change Region to United State 3. Change primary language to English(United States) < to enjoy cortana (Keyboard too to US) 4. Install all available application (like wechat ,whatsapp , viber , facebook , insta, waze etc) http://www.windowsphone.com/en-my/store 5. Install "Clock Hub" to have HTC similar Clock Live Tile 6. Redesign your whole start page 7. Test all every hardware components to ensure no issue on it 9. Battery sense > show all apps > disable all those apps you don't need running at the background |

QUOTE(-ahtiang- @ Jan 30 2015, 08:43 AM) My L930 just got updated with the Denim update and when I take picture with the Lumia Camera app which is also updated, I can no longer Reframe (high resolution) them as freely as I used to. Reframe has changed to Lumia Creative Studio I think, just hit edit & select that for reframing & editing. However, I have the Lumia Camera Classic which if I use this app to take photo I can Reframe (high resolution) them. This app is at the expense of the new Rich Capture mode. With the new Denim updated feature works that Lumia Camera app is with Rich Capture but without Reframe (high resolution) option. Lumia Camera Classic app is with Reframe (high resolution) option but without Rich Capture mode. Any L930 can confirm my experience above? or did you find ways to Reframe your picture in high res.? QUOTE(Assassin's @ Jun 6 2015, 01:37 PM) I've owned the L925 for about a year now. Unfortunately, it broke down so I've decided to buy the L930. Here are my first impression after using it for about 3 days : For the fast battery drain part, have you close all unwanted background app & change the mail sync to at least 2 hours instead of "based on my usage "? Changing brightness to Auto/Low would help conserve battery too.The good : - Fast performance. Apps load quick, the "Resuming..." stuff is rarely seen and the Lumia Camera app start up very fast. - Loaded with feature. Want to record your steps? You can. Want to install the Hyperlapse Mobile app? You can. - Comfortable typing experience. The larger screen makes it easier to type. The bad : - Heat. This phone get hot easily on the bottom left part even if you're just browsing the web. - Terrible low-light performance. My L925 produce far better low light image than this phone. - Fast battery drain. After about 4 hours of usage, the battery already drops from 90% to 60% with moderate usage on medium brightness. - Goodbye one-handed usage. Due to my small hand, it's now impossible to press the back button with one hand. - No Glance. Since I don't wear any watches, it's annoying that I have to press the power button to see the time. Isolated issue, these issue may just be limited to me, but make sure, to check if you're planning to buy the L930 : - Obnoxious vibration. The vibration on this phone isn't as subtle and pleasant as it was on my L925 - Screen lift. See my previous post. - Purple tint. If you set the brightness to auto, the screen will sometimes switch to purple tint and then back to normal - Battery saver brightness doesn't work. Makes late night browsing very unpleasant. Overall, my experience with the L930 has been good but nothing spectacular. If your 920 still works, I recommend you to wait for the L940 instead. Looks like not having glance feature takes up quite a bit of battery for user that needs to unlock for time viewing. This post has been edited by IccyAsd: Jun 20 2015, 01:57 PM |
