If you can wait, I suggest you don't get it now - a windows staff leaked some info that november or something going to have something "really amazing", just a rumor but with windows 9 otw I think it is believable

I've owned the L925 for about a year now. Unfortunately, it broke down so I've decided to buy the L930. Here are my first impression after using it for about 3 days :

The good :
- Fast performance. Apps load quick, the "Resuming..." stuff is rarely seen and the Lumia Camera app start up very fast.
- Loaded with feature. Want to record your steps? You can. Want to install the Hyperlapse Mobile app? You can.
- Comfortable typing experience. The larger screen makes it easier to type.

The bad :
- Heat. This phone get hot easily on the bottom left part even if you're just browsing the web.
- Terrible low-light performance. My L925 produce far better low light image than this phone.
- Fast battery drain. After about 4 hours of usage, the battery already drops from 90% to 60% with moderate usage on medium brightness.
- Goodbye one-handed usage. Due to my small hand, it's now impossible to press the back button with one hand.
- No Glance. Since I don't wear any watches, it's annoying that I have to press the power button to see the time.

Isolated issue, these issue may just be limited to me, but make sure, to check if you're planning to buy the L930 :
- Obnoxious vibration. The vibration on this phone isn't as subtle and pleasant as it was on my L925
- Screen lift. See my previous post.
- Purple tint. If you set the brightness to auto, the screen will sometimes switch to purple tint and then back to normal
- Battery saver brightness doesn't work. Makes late night browsing very unpleasant.

Overall, my experience with the L930 has been good but nothing spectacular. If your 920 still works, I recommend you to wait for the L940 instead.

Unfortunately, for L930 it is pretty bad if you turn on your screen quite often. It's pretty much similar to any android out there. I'm thinking it probably is due to the Snapdragon 800 itself rather than the OS pushing too much power. Similarly how it goes with the heat, but I'm fine with it as I can rest assured the SoC is getting adequate heat dissipation just not very comfortable to hold...

if heat is really a big issue for you, I can recommend you L830. If not because of the Snapdragon 400 is having lower performance I would have recommend this early on, but the only part that Snapdragon is decreasing in experience is the 3D gaming portion. Everything else is almost similar to L930 (obviously, camera is not one of them... )
