So far - no.
For me i use a flip-cover that came with the pre-order (ROCK brand), when i answer call, i flip open, and the slide to answer appears. The i close flip-cover (theres a slit near the speaker area to allow this). When finished speaking, i lift the flip-cover, the screen appears with details of the call.

When it happen, try wipe the proximity sensor area... my friend got hit with the same issue as well... not sure if the screen protector is blocking the screen protector or what... same thing if the double tap unlock doesnt work... wipe the proximity sensor area...

have you been pressing the power button on accident? Or read this, it has something to do with the proximity sensor
http://www.nokia.com/us-en/support/faq/?ac...&topic=FA139001

Other fixes I read about are : cutting the screen protector off the top part of the phone, blow compressed air into the earpiece on the top

thinking to trade my HTC one Max for this beauty... but being a long time Android user, kinda use to the android logic and apps.

hope the WP expert who also use android b4 can guide me.

i`m a non-gamer,
use google service alot (due to all cloud and under 1 email) chrome, keep, gmail, contact and other sync.

need a full and fast capable browser all the time.

whatsapp, wechat, facebook, flipboard and instagram for leisure.

camera edit like snapseed.

gmail, contact, calendar should have no problem... but chrome, keep and other services you have to change as well. Not sure if dropbox is available on this. But I've been using OneDrive, OneNote, DropBox and Google Drive since Android so it's not much of a problem for me when it comes to cloud storage.

Browser, had to change to IE. I do find few alternative browsers, tried Maxthon but IE is much better IMO. IE is capable, but not sure about the fast when compete against chrome on Android. I don't exactly mind, I find it just ok but for me Chrome is more streamlined in the interface design compared to IE on WP. takes some time to get used to.

Whatsapp, FB, Instagram is there. Pinterest just came in with beta as well but I don't think flipboard is available (not sure why, I can recall flipboard is available as Win8 Store Apps). Camera edit, I use built in feature. Not sure how that is compared to snapseed but I find it enough for cropping, reframe; that's all I'm willing to do on mobile phone...

If you rely too heavily on Google's services, probably you want to stick with Android unless you are willing to migrate.

well, thanks for the reply, very detail

to me, i willing to try new things. i also saw that google keep by 3rd party in wp apps. but i know onenote can do the same jobs as well

the main things is i saw IE 11 improved. i hope its really improved.

contacts and calender sync is important, but i think gmail or hotmail can help.

last, its either Lumia 1520 or 930. as bother hardware almost same, but i like microSD expansion, but i like 930 screen size.

and i wanna trade my HTC one max for this.

IE 11 on the new WP 8.1 is actually very good compared to the previous version and it has come a long way indeed... I still remember the days when I was using my Samsung SGH-i780, the IE was horrendous

RM1699 at the nokia store, digital mall. Paid with cc though so got 2% charge so final RM1732 heh. No, just the phone no freebies.

Was interested to get the charging pillow cause it looked like a bed for my 930 to sleep on at night while I sleep hahaha.

It's standard package, phone with charger... not wireless one... normal wired wall plugged usb charger...

price depends on shop I think... heard too many price variations....

battery life, definitely long enough to survive one day for me from morning till nite... unless you are capable of draining an android phone within 2 hours... so far, comparable use of my previous Nexus 4 and this 930 yields a very good results for 930...

Glance is displaying your notifications and clock on the screen with display off/screen locked... so you don't have to unlock your phone just to see your clock... L930 doesn't support it but we have double tap to unlock...

asking questions is fine... you should get as much info before committing the switch... biggrin.gif

I believe the one you visit is the Nokia dealer and not the Nokia Official Store (you know those big outlet at the malls). Nokia dealer can sell the phone at much lower price that RRP set by Nokia Malaysia but Nokia Official Store must sell them at RRP price.

Having said that I believe both types of outlet are having phones warrantied by Nokia Malaysia as long as it's from Zitron or Avaxx. Similarly I went to DirectD as well initially to scout for L930 but they only have White and Black so I walked away no choice. Their price is RM 1,799 and their units are from Avaxx.
