if u call a cpu a "microsoft cpu", i'd suggest u save your cash and buy yourself a cheap celeron dessktop for about rm 1k. the performance won't be noticable for a newbie like you

I suspect the performance of the RM 6600 PC will be
slightly better than the iMac 20" but you will enjoy it
less and be less productive. Raw speed isn't everything.

More like a Windoze fanboy trying to prove that Windows machines are speed demons.... doh.gif doh.gif

Ppl buy Macs not because of speed, it's because of the OS....

i know u edited this post, but i can't help poking fun at you

with rm 6,600 for a cpu and a 19" monitor, i can guarantee you that you can get the best intel / amd cpu they have to offer + 1 nice 19" lcd monitor to pair with your cpu.

(yes, pun intended, if u guys have yet to notice) biggrin.gif

Not for gaming and for editing? IMHO you can go for either 17" 1.83Ghz iMac (RM5299) and pop up as much RAM as possible and there's still money left, save it for another use. Don't have to spend so much money even if you have a lots lots lots of money. But hey if you really need the 20" i will still suggest go for mac. You will get good looking computer + free much more space + Mac OS + Windows + good quality of tested hardware + new experience biggrin.gif

Good Luck to you then.
