So it's a personal preference really, and the longer you wait, the crowd here would have moved away from the games you wanted to play most to the next. Xbox Live is after all, about playing together.

You have to be extra careful now when you collect your set.

I collected my new set about 2 - 3 weeks back.

1. First set: Warranty seal (microsoft wording one) not there manufactured March 06
2. Second set: DVD seal broken manufactured May 06

Both were refurbished sets. I refused to take them

3. Third Set: Completely new manufactured 7-24-06

I opened the faceplate in front of the customer service at the collection centre.

Keep on pointing out things that don't look right on the refurbished set they give you and they'll give up and give you a new one.

Don't know if it'll work for you, but it did for me.
