hey i did not really follow the xbox thread but from the looks of it, this 3rod thingie is really eating up the user and as we are the end users of the product, we r at the highest point of frustration.

even though i dont own 1, but then i can imagine how it feels 2 lost a next-gen console + new 12 months gold... feel sorry 4 u man.

m$ shld really start responding 2 this matter or is this their secret 2 gaining more sales.. putting a time bomb in the console?!

i think judge-the must be someone who support original truly, since he gains support from fellow members of the LYN xbox forum... i really admire ppl who plays original games, but sadly the console doesnt and moreover... m$

If its a modded machine, do the x-clamps straightaway. DO NOT send it back to the shop especially the shop in SG Wang! I have a console that couldnt be fixed after sending it to SG. Wang to fix and now its coming back without the 6 long screws and the console couldnt be revived using the x-clamps replacement anymore!

If your console is a modded machine and the 3 lights appear! Dont wait, dont try anything funny, dont send it back to the shop, do the x-clamps right away!

@rhoyo - Check your thermal paste that you are using. 2ROL normally arise from 2 situation:

(i) You have used too much thermal paste on your console thus restricting heat from going to the heatsink as fast.
(ii) The heatsinks arent getting enough contact with the chips so probably screwing it tighter will solve the problem.
