Basically, all that we CAN do is vent our frustration here, coz that's the only thing we CAN do isnt it? Gathering in groups and protesting will land you in jail for illegal gathering without permit, and that would tarnish the image of videogaming even further. Im not really sure on this, but im sure to a certain degree, Microsoft is watching. So it is up to US to change their perception about us being blatant pirates , to a more civil, law-abiding contributing community to them. Like i said, if im MS, i wouldnt spend my money here, or even if i do invest here, it is for the bare minimum. You can claim that there is a sizable amount of contributing community here, but as a whole, we are still in the dumps when it comes to adopting legitimate software. It is THAT image that we should shed in order to bring them (MS) in. But alas, my kerongkong grew contricted and i lost my virtual voice memekik about this issue since then already, i grown to accept certain things already. And among those things is that, Malaysians will never learn, and will always go for the cheaper bargain, regardless whether what they do is right or wrong. See how Malaysians flock to stores during sales time? That is the legitimate, with permit kind! Imagine the illegitimate, FREE kind?

QUOTE(Hitman190 @ Feb 5 2007, 04:20 PM) Look i didnt mean for this to get of hand but all i wanted was for Microsoft to send our 360s for repair instead of us just letting our once precious 360s rot away..thats all i wanted....I know that Microsoft wont come here for a loooooooong time but the least they could do is reimburse our faulty products... The very moment those 360s steps outside of the region they were supposed to be sold, Microsft have the right not to reimburse you with anything. That was the agreement stated in the warranty, all bets are off, they are entitled not to pay you a single sen, once you bring that 360 outside of its region of warranty, read it carefully. The only way to have that kind of support/warranty/reimbursement work is to have a local launch. To have a local launch, Microsoft needs to have confidence in the local scene. To have that kind of confidence, there have to be ZERO TOLERANCE against piracy and discussion regarding them. It is all inter-related. Any one of these chains are broken, and you will have ZERO MS presence here regarding anything 360.

QUOTE(zio @ Feb 5 2007, 04:52 PM) Zero tolerance? Nah I dont think MS will take it that far. Else they wouldn't be launching in China and India. A lot of factors come into play and piracy is just one of the many issues. As for kern, you are saying stand up and be counted for? But you have not said what exactly you want people to do? Stop buying 360s? What other options do we have? Its not like you can just get up and sit in another cab you know.. They can afford a percentage of people going Sparrow in China and India, because the populace is huge. Malaysia? Even if the number is small here, it reperesent a significant percentage over the gaming populace. So you need total or near zero tolarance for them to be convince that it is viable to launch here.
