QUOTE(c010 @ Jul 14 2014, 11:25 AM) Helping out a friend to shoot his wedding photo. Feedback or comment is welcomed. Thanks. All very nicely shot » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Just that the color processing looks abit weird for my tastes, feels like ghost bride kind of toning already Just my personal and biased opinion, feel free to ignore it if it isn't relevant ya |

I have heard so much about it. So is it living up to its reputation? Yeap, fantastic phone all around, especially for a price that's less than half of flagships with equivalent specs |

QUOTE(QiAnG @ Oct 20 2014, 07:49 PM) Did a portrait shoot yesterday organized by photography society in miri. all shot with mitakon 85, shooting all manual bit tough to nail focus == Composition a little bit weird for my tastes, and gosh, that last photo, the eyes really overdone.» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « cnc would be appreciated, thanks =) haha Try not to over-process your photos, and maybe composition wise can give more "breathing space" for your subjects. Most people use manual lenses for that out of camera rendering, so best leave it be unless something really needs to be fixed. Just my two cents, don't take it too personally ya, only trying to help |

QUOTE(QiAnG @ Oct 21 2014, 02:43 PM) Thanks guys. haha. a critics isnt a critics if it's not harsh. The bokeh isn't bad, just that that particularly terrible one that tanji pointed out is because of over-processing (sharpening, saturation, clarity, etc.)So apart from the bad bokeh from the lens, overprocess... care to elaborate more on breathing space? as in more ... space in the right and left of the model? haha i just started out and not that good in portraits i think Should you intend to apply that much modifications next time, you might wanna mask out the background in photoshop first. I'm going to contradict tanji here by saying a better lens doesn't matter, what you are using is already pretty good. Your skill matters more. (Sorry tanji, you yourself should already know what a good photog can do with less) Breathing space is part of composition skills, but I can't really tell you any "rules" to follow, just try to look at how other photographers shoot outdoor portraits (wide, tele, normal lenses). No worries about making mistakes, I used to do everything i'm telling you not to do plus more (And I still make alot of mistakes even now) |
