Planning to go full frame with 8k budget.

Eyeing on D750 + 24-120.

Or I should go with D610 and spend the rest of budget on glass

Wanted more higher ISO then 750 will do great job.
But if you more concern on getting high grade lens then 610 also do the best.

I thought they would have almost the same ISO performance, what differs is the 750's better AF module.

since I'll be shooting a lot in low light. quite sure that 750 is better choice for me.

what's the street price for the 24-120? I don't see many selling this lens...

I just got myself a second hand set of:
D700 (30k sc)
mb-d10
2x battery
16gb sandisk extreme cf + 16gb sandisk extreme plus cf
35 f2d
85 f1.8d

now I wonder what kind of CF card reader should I buy, I mean can I trust those RM50 Apacer/Transcend multi readers?

CF I think not many fake ones around coz it's not as widely used as SD. I have a collection of Sandisk CF & so far so good. But I will never touch Kingston again as one got corrupted even though I haven't reach max.

Edit: sorry thought you're talking about the card itself...lol. No idea on this as I don't use one, just direct connect from camera to PC  tongue.gif

direct connect works but takes ages to complete transfer the photos. That's why trying to look for a reader instead.

I'm using the RM50 Transcend card reader on a daily basis since it is one of the tools required for my job. Till now still alive and kicking.

I bought one Rm20 from a random PC shop and that went kaput after a week. sweat.gif

thanks for your feedback.

thinking to sell my d600 and get d810. any advise ? I just use it during vacation. don't have time for anything else laugh.gif

I have Sigma 12-24 v2 with me as well as 85/1.8G. Thinking to grab 35/1.4G and change 85/1.8G to 1.4G. What's your thought ?
*
for vacation, I think D750 would be better cause it is lighter.

tested D610 and D750 at nikon centre and I am amazed with the difference of weight when holding both.

D750 lighter ?

Though the spec sheet stated both are about the same, but not sure why the D750 feels lighter in hands. Perhaps the slightly different ergonomics?

donno you la, can see the site clearly say 10 gram difference. biggrin.gif you sure your left arm and right arm same muscle ah? hehe.

lol Brian...

maybe the ergonomics or what made the difference but that's my personal 30 minutes experience at the nikon centre.

around RM 5,800.00 body only.

A bit frustrated, after bought my D610 for 1 month, then D750 announced. Price different 1K only.
Try to trade my D610 but the price depreciation is so huge.  cry.gif

no worry la, the 610 is a capable camera. just shoot it until EOL then upgrade to the future 760 or whatever that comes.

just like how I'm using the 700 and I'm still a happy man.
