QUOTE(mingyuyu @ May 12 2014, 09:19 PM) kl, selayang area。 I see closest place for macro is FRIM only, but not many insects in my last visit. perhaps someone organize a macro outing? My last visit to FRIM was rather disappointing as well, probably due to fumigation by the authorities there I have to familiarize with the areas first before going on an outing haha, otherwise dunno where to find what- waste time |

QUOTE(copperwire93 @ May 22 2014, 04:17 PM) Welcome back bro Nice shots there hehe~ Time to invest good diffuser to reduce harsh shadows QUOTE(mingyuyu @ May 22 2014, 05:13 PM) Yeahh, right also haha... but i suppose Df buyers are already aware of the compromises Such a sweeeet DSLR~ QUOTE(QiAnG @ May 22 2014, 05:22 PM) Aww I really love those spiders Hmmm, it depends on how much you want one haha Bro is it advisable to have a tarantula as a pet? Lots of people selling them now. Some colorful ones can be really expensive, and maybe harder to rear lol Brachypelma boehmei by PF T.J., on FlickrIf you don't mind common brown ones (see below), those can be easily found at your nearest hill or mountain |

QUOTE(skawithme @ May 23 2014, 06:13 PM) Hi guys! I need opinions from nikon users here. I've been reading about nikon dslr in the web and learn the basic knowledge of using it (PSAM mode, composing, lenses, tip n tricks etc) and now i think im ready to do the practical part which is buying the camera and start shooting! Lol. I like to take pics of people, cats, potraits, street and maybe landscape/macro in future. I've never use dslr before, totally beginner. I got few questions that i need your honest opinions: Welcome welcome 1. I've tight budget of rm1.5k (can add few hundreds if necessary) so i've narrow down to new D3200 and D5100 plus kitlens or secondhand D3100 plus extra lense and accesories. Which camera should i get as beginner? New D3200,D5100 or just use 1.5k to buy secondhand D3100+kitlens plus 2nd hand 35mm lens and few accesories if got balance, then shoot and learn kaw kaw until good enough to upgrade to new dslr body, which one should u guys suggest? Can 3100 produce IQ as good as d3200/5100? 2. If i'm consider to buy secondhand D3100, i MIGHT have balance money from 1.5k. Should i buy 2nd hand 35mm DX nikkor lens? Since i like to shoot potrait and people, i heard this lens can produce sharp image with good bokeh, am i right? Or do u guys have other lens or accesories that u guys want to suggest to finish 1.5k? Maybe 50mm or 85mm? 3. If u guys have rm1.5k plus minus, as a beginner, which choice would u buy? Sorry for my england, dont know to english, lol! I've learned to retouch a few photos in lightroom and now cannot tahan to produce my own picture and process it,heheh! Thank you in advance, hope sifus2 and nikon users here can help me to decide and support my new hobby! Yeay If you will try macro in the future, always go for the camera with higher MP counts. It will be very useful when cropping, something you do alot in macro haha I would recommend going for the D3200 or D5200 instead.. the flippable screen on the D5200 can really come in handy for low shots If you are new to DSLR, just stick to using a kitlens first. After you have really mastered all the theory you have learnt, then only consider prime lenses |

QUOTE(copperwire93 @ May 23 2014, 07:02 PM) Any of those shouldn't go wrong, altough I personally prefer D3200/D5100 because of the LCD screen, since D3100 really has low DPI. This the only shot taken with D3100 that I got. Not bad, looks better now, with less harsh shadows » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « After Lightroom stuff, I can say, it's almost the same with my D5100 anyway. hehe Woah, cute miao haha Did a DIY diffuser for my built-in flash today, pening wooo! Not a good craftman. But here's the picture sample with it. Made from a Maggi cup. I think still overexposed. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « on FlickrKeep it up~ Just make sure the tube is long enough to connect from your built-in flash until the far end of your lens. Can put aluminium foil linings within the tube to enhance reflection of light |
