I recently purchased a 1ft tank from a LFS because I needed one for my guppy fries. But then as I walked out the LFS, I saw a betta which was sick and like, almost dead in a bottle lol. Then i kesian it, then I bought it back home lol. The shopkeeper say also got say, "Aiya.. never mind la.. cheap cheap stock die also never mind" lol.
But this LFS is the only consider near my house la, so I normally terpaksa get my supplies from this shop. So I brought the fish home, used the new tank and set it up with my established hang-on-back filter, I set it on the lowest current possible la. The betta has ich, and a bad case of fin rot (Left almost no tail) lol. So this is the 2nd night I got it d. He seems to be better looking la, I put it a ketapang leaf and some Japanese yellow powder. As for the water conditioner, I used TetraAqua Aquasafe la.
He's still moving lazily on the bottom of the tank. I was wondering is there anything else I can do for him to get better? By the way, he's just some rojak betta veil-tail with red wash somemore haha.. But i kesian so i buy la... Anything else I can do for the poor thing? Sorry for the long post lol. icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

Melafix has been purchased and aquarium salt has been added. I didn't get the cheapo rock salt lol. I hope that was what u meant by adding some salt. He's still pretty inactive but he ate about 2 pellets of Hikari Betta Bio-Gold. I'm going to introduce him to freeze dried blood worms to see how he takes it. Tell me if I'm doing anything wrong.

The betta is more active now lol. Eating like a normal betta would. 30% percent water change every 3 days. And the melafix is doing it's job. Hehe... cost me 26 bucks lol. Anyways, will update about the fishes condition regularly. Thanks! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

I am using a 1ft tank with a hang-on-back filter set on the lowest possible current. I think 3 days is a good time? Or should I do it more frequently? hmm.gif hmm.gif
