betta need no maintenace!
i've got 17 of 'em in my house.
the advantage?

1. only change with filtered water about once in a month or twice if it's in smaller nescafe pot. lol.
2. save times! feed only once in a day every morning.
3. cheap maintenance...ie; fish food with color enhancer around 15bucks and last for more than 3 months.
4. no need oxygen or water filter like my other arrowana and sabah kaloi.
5. no need to buy bigger tank cuz they don't grow bigger.
and your mom always buy the big nescafe pot which is suitable for em too! hahahaha!

...............and many more! lol

any one breed the bettas before?currently i stay in Sungai Buloh, got anyone know where to buy bettas here? Coz i just move here 1 month.
BTW, did anybody know where can buy a full moon bettas in Malaysia...LOL
*
ok, i have 1 good news and 1 bad news for you, mate!
bad news; i've search around and all i get was an information about how rare was the bettas breed in captives. even if it's inside a big aquarium with stones and live plants!
am currently keeping a pair of bettas inside a covered aquarium with live plants and we gonna see if it works.
good news; i've seen a couple of full moon bettas in jalan pasar, pudu. that was long time ago thou.... sorry.
but heck, 100bucks was kinda expensive even for thai bettas. lol.

argh doh.gif too much workouts already.
i don't really play attentions to my bettas as much as i do to my workouts and red arrowana. one thing i like most about 'em was the easy maintenance. laugh.gif
could be CT and HM.

nope... some info of urs is misleading...
bettas are easy to breed in captive, except for those wild type...

and one more... for betta lovers, 100 bucks is consider normal...
my 1st halfmoon, i got it for 1200baht which in those days were approx rm120...  smile.gif

ok. thanks a lot for correcting me.
this is a first time am trying to breed my bettas anyway.
my lil' sister request for betta last time and both of us get hooked into it. laugh.gif
the halfmoon cost me around 65bucks only.

a friends of mine bought his thai betta for over 100bucks and gosh!!! the fish disfigured in a fight. pity the fish. doh.gif
i don't keep bettas for fight thou.....

Do a 30% water change maybe? The last time my betta behaved like that, he has ich. I put him 2 days in a quarantine tank with medication. He's back to normal.

thanks a lot SP.
in fact, he just came out from the quarantine tank with oxgen. keep him there for 4 days aready.
may let him recover the natural way.
