QUOTE(inv @ Feb 15 2008, 01:36 PM) it can be done, although it might not be the best route. you might lose the colour that u wanted by introducing other colours. oic, then which sort/variety of betta i should get to match with the female wild plakat to mate? Ohh ya, 1 more question, since i'm placing 3 wild plakat together, will it be a problem if i add another of those female betta inside, but not the wild one. QUOTE(ynneb25 @ Feb 17 2008, 02:46 AM) swim bladder is not cancer....its not life threatening...its just a disorder that will be with the fish for life....Dropsy is like cancer... Back to the previous topic, Aged water can remove chlorine but what about chloramine? oic. Just run thru some forum & articles, it mentioned that feeding the fish eat the peas will help the treatment, "as the peas somehow encourage destruction of the impaction" . Anybody try this before or there's any proof for this statement ?

QUOTE(ivanlim @ Feb 18 2008, 11:34 AM) the pea idea is simple. SBD is caused by an imbalance to the swimbladder, normally caused by too much food, not enough poop. So the pea helps the betta poo. I tried feeding peas before. The entire poop comes out green.
oic... thanks for the clarification. Ok, will find some peas this few day to feed it liao..oh ya, 1 more the peas need to be cooked or raw? This post has been edited by Foxngn: Feb 18 2008, 12:28 PM

Ok, this is the third day since i bought the betta back, from what i observe from few hours ago, the betta seems to be much more active than previous 2 days, but still it most time still lying on the bottom, when lying down it head is always face up.. hopefully this few days it could be doing better.
For the meantime i still haven't got any peas for it to eat, i'm still fasting it.

QUOTE(ynneb25 @ Jun 28 2008, 10:59 PM) Try isolating the shy/scared betta for a week or so. Don't let it see any other betta. It should start getting territorial after being isolated oh...ic, will try that next time. Yesterday i put some ketapang leave into the betta tank, suddenly today i saw it doesnt feel afraid oredi .... btw...how to train betta to eat those betta pallet , the betta should be around only 4months. Cause doesnt want to use the frozen worm, sometimes it makes the water dirty fast
