Just wondering, is it better to remove all deco and gravel from the tank when medicating a sick fish?

I think there must be something horribly wrong with the aged water. It seems everytime I change water, his condition worsens. Now I just use tap water + anti chlorine.

a cheap anti chlorine can also cause the aged water to be worse off.

The grey blobs of stuff on his tail is gone now, but popeye is still there. Hopefully he gets well soon.

Finally my betta is eating after starving himself for 5 days. I used mineral water for his water change in the end, looks like something finally agrees with him.

Got a pair of blue HMPK. female with straight edge 180 degree caudal too. fish is from singapore.

Jas... congrats! ur betta problem is finally solved.

Its not solved yet, he still has popeye, and resting on tank bottom a lot, just that he has started to eat again. Hopefully he will be ok soon.

Fasting is good for fishes, Jas, just like it is good for us.

PK is still alive but not eating and definitely not flaring. Dunno when he's gonna go.

But I am wondering - how to sanitize his tank once he does go ar???

pour in boiling hot water into the tank(if it is not plastic)....if it is plastic...pour in some dettol (jk jk)
