Hmm... Slight crowning expression... Slightly rounded edge... Shows MG colouration, though not very distinguished.... Maybe the light coloured variant... Caudal fin too short / anal fin too long...

If me, I wouldn't take it. I like stronger colours...
But beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. So if you like it, then price would not be an issue

I used normal tap water treated with the stuff said in my last post on my siamese ones before, they were fine for awhile but died about I think 10 months later. I did the same for the crowntails but they had pop-eye, so I switched to drinking water I purchased from the supermarket. They were ok in that for awhile but didn't for long.... I didnt add anything to the drinking water, I just used it straight from the bottle. Tried reverse osmosis water as well, same results.

I change it more often when the water is dirty, but regularly every 5 days to a week. 50/50 water change. I've also tried this pump-like thing that allows you to suck only the dirty stuff from the bottom of the tank/container, keeps the water longer from being changed.

y betta skin become golden b4 they die ar?

Hey guys need some help... one of my bettas eyes has become very big, like popeye like that. How should I go about treating it and any idea what might have caused it?

Strange my fish gets it although I change the water every 4 days or so. Any brand of medicine recommended? Or as long as its for popeye then its ok?

Ok, will try to change the water more often then. I bought Ocean Free Internal Bacteria & Ulcer Away, it says on the label it can be used to cure popeye as well.

Bah. I don't think I want to keep bettas anymore. I was doing PK's water change and noticed that he has raised scales. It looks like dropsy. ~_~

Sorry to hear that. My fish isnt getting any better either, although I am medicating him and changing water more often. I think he is already blind in that eye because he doesnt give responce when I wave my finger on his "blind" side. Still having good appetite though, so I'll just wait and see how it goes.

Ynneb: Yeah, I know. That's why I have resigned myself to letting PK enjoy the rest of his days eating bloodworms and living in a clean big bungalow. :S

I think there must be something horribly wrong with the aged water. It seems everytime I change water, his condition worsens. Now I just use tap water + anti chlorine.

PK is still alive but not eating and definitely not flaring. Dunno when he's gonna go.

But I am wondering - how to sanitize his tank once he does go ar???

hey guys, my 2 months old betta (2 months since i bought it la) suddenly today showed symptoms of fin rot. so i quickly went n change the water. put salt, anti chlorine n all.

but now, within a couple of hours. it's conditions changed drastically to the worst. it's whole body is turning pale n it's just floating around at the bottom of the tank. what's wrong with it?

i'm quite saddened about this. i think it's not going to make it pass the night.

just a few minutes after this, it died. sigh...

How much for tis 1 ? i wana get 1 soon..but rarely find tis type pretty fighting fish ler..all fish shop sell 1 is normal 1...

izit possible to feed the pretty fighting fish as above at tis small aquarium ???? will it died ???

Hello Guys.
I just thought of something. Ramadhan is just around the corner. After ramadhan will be hari raya. And we know what that means... BALIK KAMPUNG!!! 
I have had my betta for half a year now and has never left him unattended. Ill be going back to batu pahat/kluang this raya (which is 3 hours drive from bangi) for one whole week. Do you guys bring along your bettas when going away for a long period of time or do you guys hand them over to someone else for safekeeping? I prefer to bring him along but im afraid he could not survive the 3 hour journey (heat and all)
