sometimes female will make bubblenest also. dun worry so much. but firstly u must condition the pair first lar. tat means feed lots of live and frozen food. besides, get hold of one or two cultures of microworms. Tat is very important if u wan ensure the survival of fries.
after that, introduce the pair. put the female in a glass jar. then put the jar into the tank wif the male inside. wait and wait and wait till the female has stripes on her body. means she ready to breed. also, the male should make a nest by then. cut a polystrene cup into half and place on top of water. secure it with a tape. the male will make nest there (hopefully). Put plants in ur tank so that female can hide. the male will wrap the female with his tails. if no spawning occurs, take out the female and repeat in another few days time. If breeding takes place successfully, take out the female and left the male. the male will take care off the eggs. after two days, the eggs will hatch. after that, take out the male and feed him and he will be exhaust by tat time. (Dun feed the male when he is taking care of eggs). If you are lucky, you will have one hundred ++ fries. of not lucky, onli a few will survive lar. then u need to prepare jars to seperate them in case they will survive until tat stage. anyway, this was wat i read years ago. barely remember some info. alwayz read more. dun wait others to feed you. QUOTE(evildonkey @ May 30 2007, 09:29 PM) Prophet007 i'll have to disagree with you on that. There's still quite a number of sleeping dragons in the local betta scene and this time around i know 2 of these sleeping dragons participating in this comp. lol...i din noe tat.. thanks for informing. anyway cant go there d, coz got camping until 3rd of june, the date they jus ended. arghh.....wanna see their bettas!!!!One of them maintain a hm line that is as good as if not better than bobby's RED. Then there's another with a battalion of newly jarred turqs and coppers hm that comes from a combination of 2 very awesome line. My current copper/green spawn derived from his copper. Then there's still those from the penang betta club. Personally i would relli like to be there but due to work commitment i have to skip it. To those in ipoh by all means go and have a look and you might see some awesome reds and turqs. |
