Cause doesnt want to use the frozen worm, sometimes it makes the water dirty fast nothing much to train really....just stop feeding frozen worms and just put in pellets...sooner or later the betta will eat the pellet

the 2nd betta water maybe got a lil problem...coz the betta's fins are not fully open(could be caused by poor water condition)

@jhoonaun...
sorry to spoil ur thunder but the fish you got there is not considered a HM (due to the poor fin). I also reckon that ur fish is a mix between red & turquoise.

the pantang about bettas are that they are fighting fish...so keeping bettas will apparently ruin the feng shui of a peaceful family(cause them to fight)

@ryant3
change 50% water everyday if possible or change 100% (conditioned) water every 2-3 days. You must use tap water conditioned with salt + anti-chlorine (do not overdose/underdose)
@rokai88
I doubt java moss can cause ur betta's fin to tear...it could be fin rot...anyways time will show as the fin will grow back by itself...If your betta's fin tear worsens, then it is surely fin rot. In that case, you would have to do a 100% water change and medicate the water.

QUOTE(ryant3 @ Jul 25 2008, 10:32 PM) thanks someone mentioned about putting money plant into the betta tank.. is money plant nana? if the betta's fin is starting to rot, will it eventually grow back? a betta's fin is something like human hair....it will grow back on its own. how do u mean money plant nana?

@rokai88
do a 100% water change and remove foreign objects....just water and the betta only. Try putting in some (non-treated) salt as well. If the bulge at the stomach grows, then i reckon that ur betta has dropsy.

QUOTE(Dejavu11 @ Aug 18 2008, 12:30 AM) [ how come their arent people mentioning things about DT- double tails? I got a double tail from a friend who went to Pangkor. Does anyone else have a double tail, and do they have any special characteristics or something.. like crowntails are not so forgivable in water changes?? Also, are the crowntails with blueish body and red fins veryy common? the most common colours one will find in LFS(local fish shop) are blue and red. So to answer your question, yes...blueish body and red fins r very common (& vice versa) whether it is a crowntail/veiltail or even a halfmoon
