i thought all the leaf (dried), can used to put in the aquarium as a medicine (or so call that can lower the water's pH).

Hey guys ,
can i ask ,

1) what does it means when a betta suddenly spread his tail (normally it sticks to getter) and his fin stand straight.

2) i added in mosses to my betta's tank isit ok? ( i have a filter though )

1) you mean flaring? i guess it is to make the enemies scared because their size will look bigger, and on another occation, to impress the females..
2) not sure, but i guess it is ok.

Yea my betta spread his tails and his fin stands like jitticus 's avatar ( look at his betta ^)

But normally it will shut it all together... like a peacock la, suddenly show it 's feathers..

erm any1 know isit ok if i added mosses inside my tank wit my betta?

Good. Next time if you have any stock, can you let me know? I am more to Halfmoon. Usually, I just go to the LFS near the Wolley food court but their stock is not very consistent.

I got stock rite now but it's hmpk...my hm spawn is only 3 weeks old currently so it'll take at least 2 more months to see results. Yea i went there once but he sold out his stock so can't relli tell how good are they. Inconsistent in quality or their stock don't arrive consistently?

Inconsistent - Some bettas that he sells are very good and compatible with the price. Sometimes he sells RM50+ for a betta but I don't see any special feature. May be I am not a good judge. Also, I really don't know how to judge if he is selling red-wash betta or red-pattern bettas. I normally buy the good finnage, regardless the red-wash.

By the way, Evildonkey, what strain of HM are you breeding?

Can I ask one question: I bought one betta with transparent+color fin. The transparent part just getting rot and drop off The color part is intact and colourful. I change 30-40% water every 3 days. He is active and show no sign of sickness. So, what is the possible cause? Transparent part more prone to fin rot? It seems not to grow back

Did not test the pH. Did not put salt but put dechlorinator and black water extract. Feed them with BettaPro - granules which do not foul the water.

SOmetimes, in HM, you cannot really prevent the fin rot. Altho changing water everyday and also putting in ketapang helps alot.

Hi Jit, do you think feeding bettapro can help the fin rot problem?
