OK, so here's the deal.

I went for my Sinus Surgery last 2 weeks at Assunta Hospital under Dr. Lim Wye Keat.

Here's what happened to me:

- A surgery of 2 hrs took 4 hrs
- Extra 2 hrs was for trying to go into my right nose to clear the mucus and other stuffs from my right nose BUT FAILED (due to unknown reasons - Dr said, he was unable to go inside my right side of the nose)
- During the first 3 checkups (which were within the 2 weeks of MC I was given), he kept asking me if I feel headache on right side (which should be happening soon since now right side is imbalance with mucus inside) but I don't feel pain
- On Saturday evening to night, the pain suddenly started on my right side and I believe it could be the one that he mentioned. I feel numbness below and above my eyes near my nose.
- Dr said if pain comes, he will do a 2nd surgery for this.

My question here is, should I do a 2nd surgery?

Is that dr lim a skinny fella?

Yups, wearing specs. He is based mostly at Assunta Hospital.
Very famous dude yo. Every time I go for my check up, I need to wait for a long queue.

There's a long queue because his fees are low. Try dr koay from Sunday which costs quite a lot yet u need to make his booking in advance.

I had my nose done by lim fm assunta and it was a nightmare. I had to be put down under to perform the surgery and it was done badly. Had to go to another ENT who performed the surgery again WITHOUT me being put downunder and till everything went well.
There's another ENT thread in here with quite a number of pages and no, dr lim was never mentioned. He's just cheap and poor with his skills.

Perhaps if you had visited another ENT you might not need a second surgery.

Is sinus surgery worth it?
Did consider it long ago but never really go for it.
I use to have serious sinus during my childhood
Around mid 20 I start jogging and running alot, and the symptom seems to reduce, only gotten sick if the weather is really bad, otherwise I don't encounter any sinus at all.  Did read up that by inhaling a lot of oxygen during running or work out, it helps the air flow and keep the nose moist.

I had my sinus removed ten years ago and it was kinda worth it. The operation itself wasn't the issue, it's just the recovery period that's a pain in the S. Before then I am always sick due to sinus inflammation but after removing it, I get to sleep in peace

Does it had any after effect, i hear various facts like u can't do swimming etc
My had improved a lot, just every twice a year i gotten very sick and nose block, usually during chinese new year time where it's dry or mid of year where haze from our neightbou country invade, other than that, unless i eat too much heaty food like lamb or fried stuff, i usually dun have sinus problem surfaced on normal occasion.

So far no problem even going for a swim. Before removing it, been suffering most of the time, swimming alone will cause nose blockage. Was very sensitive to dust and my sinus get affected a lot but for more than ten years it's been fine.
