I found the answer exactly where the article said. It really tested my Google-fu a little.

In Lego news, Benny got to go to space yesterday! Alexander Gerst, the German astronaut to the ISS posed for these photos yesterday by the Lego group. They even have matching suits.

I will be back in July. If anyone looking for Ecto-1, gimme a msg. I can bring back a few at German Euros S@H price.

How much if convert to RM?  icon_question.gif

Not sure about the price yet. May need to add in postage of 3.50 Euros. 1 Eur=RM4.4 at today's rate though. Not sure about that in July, but it seems like Euro will weaken due to ECB planning to cut rates. Also depends on how many S@H allows me to buy at 1 go.

I won't be making any money off this, so need to limit the units unless there are firm requests.

I just looked at my wishlist for my Lego. Confirm pokai. I really want the fairground mixer and the balloon cart. :'( Don't have enough cash to go to the states to haul things back xD
*
I could have helped you, but I don't think my luggage has space anymore as I'm bringing some toys back for nephews and nieces and also Ecto-1 and another set for a forummer.

I find HK shops are bit expensive.... BrickLink is a good place to go scout around and COD or something. Usually its the shipping that kills ( and sometimes customs ).
US is still the cheapest from what I see. Europe and Australia is no use since Euro is so expensive now and AU is the same as US but not much selection.
*
Euro is on a weakening trend though. What makes EU expensive is the VAT. If you happen to be there as a tourist, you can try to claim back the VAT. About 15% from retail if you consider Germany's 19% VAT. However, I'm not sure of the procedures.

For me as a resident, I can't claim it back.

There are a couple of Lego stores in Munich, never been there though. I usually get sets online from S@H, and that's 5% off due to VIP points and any exclusive gift.

Otherwise, I take advantage of TRU 10% Happy Sunday deals or any special Starcard deals.

There is for me also a monthly 10% coupon from one of the large chain malls in Germany.

When all else fails, Amazon has good offers from time to time.

Also, I keep an eye out at flea markets. There are sometimes good sets and minifigs going for a song at those places. Especially loose unsorted bricks. They sell 2 Euros for 250g in transparent bags. You can see what you get and there are sometimes minifigs and hard to get bricks in them.

did you order from Lego shop directly? or from other online store?

*
From S@H. Other online stores don't have the balloon cart I think.

I don't think my luggage can fit anymore. I'm bringing 2 large Lego sets back for a forummer here. Also my nephews and nieces want some toys too.

This is because the polybag itself is not for sale but you need to buy EUR55 worth of Lego. Unless you gift me the EUR55 worth of Lego, then I'll give you the polybag tongue.gif

blink.gif  Err, I was talking about carrying it back. I've got a brother who is going there in July, so I know I'm sorted. For the rest, if they are planning a holiday or have a friend who is coming back, then they can bring it back for them la.

I think the balloon cart promo is valid till end of June. Maybe they have stock left over, you'll never know.

21108 Ecto-1 instruction booklet's binding is really bad. The pages fell out after just 5 minutes of building.

I've requested a replacement from Lego customer service and asked them to forward the issue to the product team.

I'm very sorry to hear that, just read it on Brickset also, looks like it is a worldwide quality issue. I should get my allocation in July, hope they rectify it by then...

My replacement booklet is currently on backorder as stated at Lego customer service.

Hopefully the stock problem is due to the increase in quality.

EU come out will be cheaper?
my friend asked me if wanna tumpang buy ... then i said i no money.. help pay for me first.. he said he also no money.. then when he order edi said he got extra but i need to pay him extra ... wat kinda heck this friend like this... no money to help me pay first but got money to get extra copies....

Putting the cart before the horse. Apa punye orang.

EU most likely more expensive. But for me it's the cheapest way, because importing from the US will incur VAT + US sales tax for me.

I'll most likely skip this though.

The instruction manual is perfect condition of our the box but I believe if wide open it during build might cause pages peel off..... So guess I would put extra care on this
*
The binding on mine came loose when I have the book on the floor. The weight of the pages will make it open wide and cause the binding to fail.

Very bad quality in my opinion. I've had free catalogues with better binding.
