This month my L1520 already 1Y 2months old.
I'm not sure after update denim or just my battery going old.
Sometimes my phone suddenly shutdown.

Yesterday during using waze without car charger, battery about 60%. But after navigate about 15minutes,
phone shutdown "battery critical low". After restart back my phone still have 50%.
This auto shutdown not only use waze, during surfing using IE also happen several times.
Sometimes when I reboot 3~5 times, battery become 2%.

When I charge and left the phone there, battery full from 35 to 100% in 20minutes.

The microsoft garage not there anymore. Same goes with tetra lockscreen.

Hey cortana beta really hard to teach unless your english is good and clear. ...the browser cant do the efilling thing. Unsupported..:-(

why is it so hard to implement "hey cortana" feature on any lumia (include low end phone)?

Android's Ok Google can works on almost any phone as long as you installed Google Now Launcher

My phone cannot rotate screen if location is on. If I off it, then only can rotate. =.=

my lumia 1520 stuck in reboot loop, reach windows logo then restart again
i tried to flash a new rom following all the tutorials online but pc never detect my phone

thanks, it deteced my phone and downloaded software update
and a red screen with progress bar appear on the phone screen and finally my phone is able to boot

but once i reboot the device, it stuck in the boot loop again.
i have to repeat the steps to recover the phone again.
any idea what's wrong with my phone

Few things to check if your phone is having battery power drain problem.

1)disable Cortana (Remove pinned too)
2)disable all unused apps from battery sense
3)disable nfc/double tap wakeup/Bluetooth/Hey Cortana
4)disable motion data collection (places visited)
5)change email sync to 2hours
6)change brightness to auto/low
7)disable glance screen if you have it

when things gets better you can start enabling 1 by 1, sometimes the location is also the problem if constant having LTE/3G on, my friends Lumia 1520 always runs hot when his at home with LTE on, found out the issue is his at the border of the coverage for U Mobile LTE, when we always meet up for drinking session or any other activity his phone goes back to normal temp and the battery drain stops... so now when his home he turn of data, change back to 2G, turn on wifi.

Can we start a countdown timer... It be much faster :-)

Phone heat up when playing normal 2D game for only 30mins.
Is a common issue?

I would say Lumia 1520 don't really heat up as much as my old Lumia 920 while gaming, maybe because its running at full throttle lol, But its ok Lumia mostly cool down very quickly.

Anyone can play lumia 4k video smoothly... Hahahaha my pc cant take it, Lot of hiccup.. Although 1080 full hd i have no problem at all.. Even my aquos tv can't detect the file in tv usb.

any updates on wp10 technical preview for the phone yet? can't wait to try out though.

also facing some problems when using HERE maps: when navigating with drive and switch to another app then switch back to drive, it will crash instantly. anyone experience this as well?

2nd problem, auto restart. not really constantly but some random moments when im not even running heavy load on the phone.  

any chance doing a clean flash on the ROM can solve the problems? 

Well guys, it is a sad day today... The day where our belove Nokia Lumia 1520, microsoft has stop production n selling world wide..the device has been retired for good. I hope there is a flagship that build around 1520 as the base design... I have been with Nokia 3210,3310, 8210, those matrix Nokia phone hahaha, Nokia communicator, ngage, Nokia n71/72, Nokia sabun, express music 5800, n8, n808, 1020, 1520..bye Nokia. Good riding..Great years :-)
