Qoute from WPCentral

1 - Change region to United States
2 - Restart
3 - Go into Store settings
4 - Turn Live Tile setting off and then on. Live Tile, should now be working
5 - Change back to your home region, Restart.

anyone on WP8.1 some confirmation needed:

1. Please check on the Photo Hub the random background images still showing or not? mine just pure black background

2. same goes to People Hub, no more random images background which available at WP8.0

Need this info as it might be only me which if later confirmed it's not Hard Reseting after the update that causing the failures... hmm.gif

Bought myself the Nilkin Qi Wireless Charger.. It's nice...

But mine stopped when it reached 85%... Perhaps I accidental moved it... Today gonna retry again...

But I do realizes that the charging time increases. But it's ok.
*
not really as i have this charger too and it seem it will stop charging Lumia 1520 even it's not full... confimed it's not a good choice for our Lumia 1520... try below which a VERY good charger and confirmed it will full charge the phone and keep it full charged until u remove it from the deck... thumbup.gif

After trying this for few days I can confirm this DOES fix it. So yes don't put the phone in your front pocket faced down. If you do put your phone that way like me, when you have phantom clicks, just lock the phone & press lightly on both ends of the display. At least now I realise why most of the time I don't get the phantom clicks as I leave my phone facing up on table most of the time.
Yes this is correct, it's the new WP8.1 standard for Photo Hub, People Hub & Store Hub, in case you didn't notice Store also changed to that.
*
thanks for the confirmation smile.gif

this is really a bad move, all those lovely lumia UI gone just like that... doh.gif shakehead.gif

Yeah a lot of ppl complained bout it. It's not really Lumia UI, it's the Metro Landscape Panorama view that lost the background pic function. Lets see if we can complain loud enough to make MS put it back.

now all black black background... cry.gif

once charging reach 100% it will stop charging, but leaving your device overnight on the plate , battery level eventually will drop too right?? so? will it recharge the battery if level drop 1% .. 2% ?? or the charging plate will only start charging on certain level?? or charging start once device reach battery save mode??  hmm.gif
*
the nilkin charger WON'T resume charge if your L1520 battery level start to drop, that's why I'm not using it now...

Regarding those so call overcharge issue, I don't believe it as L1520 stopped charged once it's full and I don't want a charger that shut itself down after full charge but rather in standby and resume charge once the phone require it...

Hate to see 92% batt level in the morning after a long night in standby although phone on the charger pad... doh.gif

i rather have it non full charged in the morning than overCharged over the night.
im really not sure if our 1520 would stop charging after full charge, as this was how my earlier HTC OneX battery died after around 6months of usage.

In this era where for such ancient failure as over charged doh.gif

All those charging algorithm will stop the charge once it's full... brows.gif

that's why im curious on how the wireless and wire charging works. charging stop at 100% device battery will drop overnight for sure, meaning it will require user to move the device from charging plate then replace back on charging plate only then it resume charging. because i always leave my data on, lower my incoming notification to update news, receive email .. etc. next day i just pick up phone and read mails and news straight away.

in that case im not going to wake up in the middle of my dream just to move & placing my device so it could resume charging??  shakehead.gif  shakehead.gif
@Roxy, how low your battery level drain overnight if Non charging?? what happen if battery level drain till 70% next morning.. not enough power later  whistling.gif
*
My phone currently drain about 1.2% per hour with all data on so if using that nilkin charger most of the time wake up only with about 94% juiced as it fully charged around 3am midnight and drain for another 5 hours before I wake up this cost me lost 5 hours of standby time during day time usage... doh.gif

1.2%/hour is consider a lot since the phone is idle.. i wonder how many % will drop when u using it... As for some user, nillkin charger might good enough if their battery drain less than 1%/hour.. anyway, it is all about personal preferences..
*
Having 20 background task that's the problem tongue.gif

If normal usage I've observed it drain ~12%/hour so it doesn't really make Lumia 1520 any good battery saver device compare with other phone... sweat.gif

those wireless charger will stop charging as the Lumia 1520 will feedback it's fulled... notice this with my charger and the charging indicator stop blinking once it's fulled...

The different for the JRK-1688 charger and the Nilkin Magic charger is that the JRK-1688 will still power on although phone fully charged (in standby mode and plugged to the power supply) so it will start charging again once the L1520 stated it's no more full charge (example drop to 99%)... Nilkin charger pula will stop charging (and for me more terrible as it stopped pre-mature where my L1520 only reach ~93%) then it will turn off so when your phone battery drop it WON'T start again until you've remove the phone and replace it back to the charging pad...

So overcharged is not an issue here, only some ppls complain about the JRK-1688 make a soft beep everytime it starting the charging again and again during the sleeping hours which for me it's very soft and not an issue for me (FYI, those will beep about 1~2 hours once depend on your phone idling current drain)... nod.gif

Currently I give the Nilkin charger for my wife Note 2 usage (and observed the Nilkin able to full charge the Note 2 without problem, weird is it and it seem the phone do have different wireless charging character) and myself I'm using the JRK-1688... thumbup.gif

Just wait for another flagship bro.. 40mp perhaps?

Look at the trend of those newly released device I bet there won't be any 1520 successor going be release soon... And I'm bet Microsoft really pissed by the Lumia 1520 released as this device is future prove with enormous ram and build in memory... The only lack on our device would be those dust and waterproof feature... brows.gif

The phantom tap issue seem resolved with this bending method... Of cause be careful while you bend it so your screen won't crack in the process... nod.gif
