once charging reach 100% it will stop charging, but leaving your device overnight on the plate , battery level eventually will drop too right?? so? will it recharge the battery if level drop 1% .. 2% ?? or the charging plate will only start charging on certain level?? or charging start once device reach battery save mode?? hmm.gif

that's why im curious on how the wireless and wire charging works. charging stop at 100% device battery will drop overnight for sure, meaning it will require user to move the device from charging plate then replace back on charging plate only then it resume charging. because i always leave my data on, lower my incoming notification to update news, receive email .. etc. next day i just pick up phone and read mails and news straight away.

in that case im not going to wake up in the middle of my dream just to move & placing my device so it could resume charging?? shakehead.gif shakehead.gif

@Roxy, how low your battery level drain overnight if Non charging?? what happen if battery level drain till 70% next morning.. not enough power later whistling.gif

those wireless charger will stop charging as the Lumia 1520 will feedback it's fulled... notice this with my charger and the charging indicator stop blinking once it's fulled...

The different for the JRK-1688 charger and the Nilkin Magic charger is that the JRK-1688 will still power on although phone fully charged (in standby mode and plugged to the power supply) so it will start charging again once the L1520 stated it's no more full charge (example drop to 99%)... Nilkin charger pula will stop charging (and for me more terrible as it stopped pre-mature where my L1520 only reach ~93%) then it will turn off so when your phone battery drop it WON'T start again until you've remove the phone and replace it back to the charging pad...

So overcharged is not an issue here, only some ppls complain about the JRK-1688 make a soft beep everytime it starting the charging again and again during the sleeping hours which for me it's very soft and not an issue for me (FYI, those will beep about 1~2 hours once depend on your phone idling current drain)... nod.gif

Currently I give the Nilkin charger for my wife Note 2 usage (and observed the Nilkin able to full charge the Note 2 without problem, weird is it and it seem the phone do have different wireless charging character) and myself I'm using the JRK-1688...  thumbup.gif

i do read other forums mention about their charging plate (Nokia Brand) stay lit after full charge, perhaps its the charging plate was not build to senses or read any device battery drain and resume it charging just like normal USB charging plug we use.

nothing to sad about actually even with Preview Dev 8.1 Lumia Black it's served me well, after reading all the cyan update bug issue ex battery life drain etc.. i rather stay with Preview Dev untill bitlocker fix. no big deal after all.

i dun believe in screen protector..
*
well, have you accidentally drop your device b4? no? then try drop and test see how your screen survive ?? sweat.gif
Corning Gorilla Glass 2 is not a scratch resistant, i rather put an extra layer protection + nano tempered glass at least to protect your screen and do less damage if you drop your devices facing down.

dropped few times already.. on tarmac... few time on chest height...
lucky no damage.

screen protector only cover the screen from getting scratches.. but not on impacts...
so no point for me...having scratches on the screen protector is more of an eyesore to me.. hehehehe

well it just me
*
rolleyes.gif true that, normal screen protector won't give us 100% protection over drop damage, but with this nano tempered glass with 0.3mm at least can do less damage if drop. i've dropped my 1020 last time , afraid will happen again. sweat.gif

with that kind of thickness,
when u slide ur phone in ur pocket, it will start to peel off eventually and collecting dust at the edges...
so, much more ugly later.. hahaha
*
at 1st i was too, not really like the thickness. well, just put aside the thickness and think of secure protection.
really, no dust at all. and installing even easier then normal sp, its doesn't even cause any bubble during my 1st installation that senget abit, 2nd attempt removing the SP is alot harder than i tot because its very sticky. sweat.gif

Guys, if you really want tempered glass SP, you can try what I did. Buy a redmi note tempered glass SP and stick it on. The shape's almost the same and the size is nearly similar. Plus note's size is 5.5 inch, it'll not stick out over the edge like what @sklchan and @mf_yamato said smile.gif
*
so, will this redmi glass SP covering the proximity sensor ?

This is the Nilkin glass sp for Lumia 1520? See the bottom edge not fully cover and then I'll not recommend it as this glass sp edge don't have 2.5D finishing and have risk to cut your hands if you slight on the edge with your fingers... Dangerous stuff...  sweat.gif
*
Yeah, the bottom curve doesn't fully covered look weird. But not that dangerous my friend untill can cut your fingers la, my thumbs not even can reaching that Conner.

Have 2 of you feel those glass sp with 2.5D edge finishing? if you've try then you will know what I'm try to say here, the edge might not "cut" your fingers but you felt the sharpness of it... then back to the original forumer asking is about FULL COVERAGE glass sp not these less here and there sp... so that's why I'm telling him there's is NON and if got full cover glass sp it will also causing all the surrounding edge won't stick as our L1520 screen are curved at its edge so all rigid glass sp won't do the trick...  doh.gif
*
sweat.gif oops. chills out, mistundestanding your point here. agree that there is no glass sp can cover the curve edge.

so here many didn't use tempered glass as it not suitable with this phone...?
how but tempered glass with nillkin frosted case?
can this two combined?
*
im using Nillkin Nano Tempered glass SP + Frosted Case , as you can see the SP lower part was not fully covered and 0.3mm plust thickness, see attach. overall still ok with me, all i want is protection on my screen. not sure about others?

i remembered that you posted a nilkin tempered glass few pages back...
does it really bother you since it cant cover the full screen?

i found one full screen, but i'm worry that it will wont stick as the 1520 is curvy at the edges...
anyone using this? inskin tempered glass

here another one, but it is stated that the screen is not flat thus not full "bonded"...
Anoke Tempered Glass

Good sharing,at 1st its look kinda weird not covering the bottom part, guess I can live with maybe when using the phone main focus was on the top & center screen...

nope...im not in the DP....still in lumia black...
btw can anyone send me cortana xap file...i cant install cortana on my phone even when im using US region and all setting and time to US....
*
Stock Lumia black , since MS already release cyan for DP User you may simply install Preview of Developers from store.
after install,
1. Enabling your Preview Developer
2. Check Software Update for 8.1 Update 1 (after complete this 8.1-1 you still may not get Cyan, proceed to step3)
3. Disabling your Preveiw Developer.
4. Check Software Update for 8.1 Cyan.

to enabling Cortana not only you must have US region, your primary keyboard setting MUST be also United States then only you add your favourite keyboard.

click here for Preview of Developer
