seem they are trying to update the Store. adding few categories from what i can see. hope they finish update faster.

What scary stuffs
My update is fine n no critical issues
Only one app Volume cannot work...some app might need update only. So far all my commonly used app working fine
WPCentral user problems all those issues I don't face
Don't allow just few complain disturb you
A very good n must have update
I love the new notification center n now can assign individual notification to app eg whatsapp
Whom phone is smoother overall
Just release only n you expect a 100% perfect firmware...even Apple n Android firmware updates has their own set of issues

The 8.1 update had improved my phone 3g pickup signals by about 50%
Inside my house is quite poor n all my Androids eg htc1, note3, XZU is satisfactory averaging 4-6 Mbps while this Nokia 1520 very much poorer often ranging 1-2 Mbps
The improvement however still can never match my Androids
All using same postpaid Maxis plan

nice info uncle benny.. the 3g improvement is at least better than nothing right...

Using WP 8.1 right now, works like charm. No issue at all. Speed twice faster, charge phone faster, line incredible gas. Cortana works well

why don't you take a look at BackGround apps to see if there's odd apps running?

Same here. Battery seems to run down quicker after 8.1. Anyone here experiencing call drops after 10-15 seconds of conversation? Received 2 calls today with same result and made a call out with same result as well.

On 8.1, Internet Explorer now allows me to post attachments in , say here lowyat forum..previously I needed to use UC browser for that purpose. A good improvement indeed
And I agree with another user here, the whole fonts design has improved very much and is so much nicer now
