Free?! What's the catch?
There's no catch. Grab full games, expansions and more at absolutely no cost. Just make sure to act fast because On the House specials can appear and disappear at any time.

You mean a trial or demo, right?
Nope. You’re getting a full version of the real game — for free!

How long will I own the game?
Once you’ve claimed your game, it’s yours to keep!

Why is Origin doing this?
We're gamers, too. We appreciate you making Origin your gaming home ... and besides, who doesn't like free stuff?

I think Origin client is far more stable and less bloated than Steam's. The client never fail to launch on first try and I don't have to clear the registry like I had to with Steam couple of times before. Though maybe because at the moment the functionality is quite minimal.

I have about 15 origin game... mostly from HB and other discounted website (not from origin shop)... but still not activated it or even install origin client... so the point is if origin want to compete like steam... do more 75%++ sale and like this "On the House" thing... maybe after I clear my huge backlog on steam then maybe I install origin client on my pc...

Origins games are region free. That's what i love most. Steam wasn't good too as it's allowing region lock. Both also DRM. If you hate that you have go GoG. Anyway Origins should do more 75% sales. That i agree.

Battlefield 3, for free. That’s right, your Origin library just got a lot more firepower. Battlefield 3 for PC is the newest game to join our On the House program, which means for a very limited time, Battlefield 3 is completely free. The only thing you need to do it’s all yours to keep and download whenever you want.

To reiterate: Battlefield 3 for PC is one hundred percent free for one week. Tell your friends. Tell your neighbors. Tell your local barista. Let as many people know about Battlefield 3 On the House: More people grabbing a free copy means more players out there in the multiplayer warzone to partner up with or fight against.

Even if you’re not ready to download it yet, just add it to you Origin game library. Once you do that it’s all yours for keeps and you can install it whenever you want.

Remember, Battlefield 3 will only be On the House until June 3rd, 10am PDT. After that, it returns to its original store price on Origin. That means, stop reading this blog right now and add Battlefield 3 to your game library. Right. This. Second.

Already a Battlefield 3 PC owner? No problem, Plants vs. Zombies for PC and Mac is also On the House. Same rules apply: It’s completely free. Add it and you own it. Download it anytime you want.

Well, at least I've got a good game to fall back on considering Watch Dogs is buggy as hell. Anyone still play BF3?
