actually how to delete HL2

You have to delete EVERY game that uses HL2 assets. So, your Counter-Strike Source, Day of Defeat: Source (Not sure about this), HL2 DM and Source SDK will have to go.
If that doesn't work, just delete the .gcf files I guess.

You have to remember that the "local" content of HL2 is around 800 MB only. So if you have a big hard disk, you're not gonna see a big difference.
