QUOTE(Cavino @ Apr 22 2014, 06:47 PM) That is why we have to ensure to source is good, if not, we gonna buy a stock plug at 4x times the price of stock. If stock still ok, if sub-par quality, engine gonna suffer some damage. Kenny can get original, you want in? RM160 is a good price at such low quantity order. QUOTE(kennywee92 @ Apr 22 2014, 08:30 PM) i'm interested here. was going to service my car next month and thinking not to use the stock air filter and spark plugs anymore..i'm surveying K&N or Works air filter; Denso or NGK spark plugs.. do u guys mind to let me know more about them? QUOTE(Cavino @ Apr 22 2014, 09:44 PM) Most of we old personian here using either stock or Denso Iridium Power IT20. Its a performance plug that last optimally 30K mileage with some stretch to 50K mileage. Quicker startup and more powerful acceleration. Its a performance plug, not long life plug, so don't do 80K mileage like those long life iridium (ie Denso Iridium Tough). QUOTE(kennywee92 @ Apr 22 2014, 09:51 PM) QUOTE(jasonloh7906 @ Apr 22 2014, 11:51 PM) spark plug, iridium power is meant for Power. not meant for too long like cavino say. unless you are racer, basically it can last 50k km without problem. mine is still ok after using 50k km. just that i changed it just to make sure have optimal performance. denso and ngk, for me, is just brand. unless they have huge gap in price. QUOTE(ZenGTMM @ Apr 23 2014, 12:33 AM) Spark Plug Denso are the best.. Done the research before,. thanks for the info, if after changing fuel consumption is not a problem, then count me in As for air filter Works are cheaper and better than K&N, as in reoiling it is not really necessary.. |

QUOTE(Fubar20 @ Apr 24 2014, 12:56 PM) QUOTE(ZenGTMM @ Apr 24 2014, 01:07 PM) Below red but hvnt blink yet.. i drive till it blinks, then fill... Normally can pump in around 39-42L.. QUOTE(Beogatts @ Apr 24 2014, 02:54 PM) my max ive pumped up the tank is RM83 (latest petrol price). i pumped in to RM80 then i slowly kept pumping until RM83, da pumper could no more fill in. i see.. the icon still not yet blink but i'm worried ady since at highway and below red mark..when i pump until rm77+ like that, the pumper keep on tak tak tak pause halfway dy.. so dun feel like going beyond rm80, afraid petrol will flow out.. haha |

QUOTE(kennywee92 @ Jun 3 2014, 09:58 PM) QUOTE(Cavino @ Jun 3 2014, 10:23 PM) Actually long life plugs are quite expensive. My 06 City 80-100K long life iridium cost abt RM300-RM400++ including installation. since ady over 100k km, better go for a full check upOne can say, may as well install every 20K using normal stock. That will do as well except that you NEED to install every 20K vs 1 time 80-100K for long life. Long life although costing much more, save service time (some ppl rather spend less time servicing and pay more, maintain consistent firing performance and is essentially a fire and forget item. IMO, normal stock degrade much faster. That means by the time you hit 15K, the performance maybe degraded drastically liao (quality definitely cannot match long life). Long life probably maintained the same performance at 20K, degrading slightly at 40K, so on. Overal the performance / fc impact might accumulate much more over the shorter life span plugs while the high quality long life maintained almost same performance for at least 2/3 of its life. but still can't accept rm500+ for changing spark plugs... anyway, wanna ask here why air filters nid to reoil after cleaning? won't it be greasy? |
