Today i was arguing with my friend on whether buy new persona sv better or second hand vios better =.=
By the way, anyone know why persona is heavier than vios? hmm.gif
*
Bigger and wider car of course more heavier

But not exactly, did you know satria neo heavier than alza?

Sounds true also, my friend die die insist that Persona is no way to be heavier than Vios, stating Vios body material is thicker and better la bla bla  sweat.gif

What is the reason for satria neo's case??
*
Donno why. Just recently comparing car spec, surprisingly alza kerb weight are lighter than neo.

guys just want to ask between saga executive FLX and persona SV. Which you guys think better? Oil consumption and durability

Persona SV is better. More comfort, spacious and stable. In term of FC are not much different especially manual. I use to drive saga sv and manual persona. wink.gif

QUOTE(blaze91 @ May 15 2014, 12:25 AM)
thank you. Persona and Saga FC same? or still gt lil difference? how about pros and cons for both? i can make up my mind at least.
*
What i like and not like on persona
+very supple and stable ride
+steering feedback
+lower seating position
+nice front seat
+nice butt and body
+better nvh than saga
-rear seat too stright
-aircon too cold even warmest temp
-headlight not bright as saga flx

What i like and not like on saga flx
+lower cruising rpm
+bright headlight
+aircon blower is the best eventhough like bus vent
+good powerband when climbing hill
+nice rear seat
+nice front design
-poor sound proof
-cvt whinning sound
-interior to plasticky and too basic
-bumpy ride

Saga CVT should be better FC on highway than persona, in city really depend on your driving style.
I got better FC on manual when on city driving.
6L/100km on highway, 7-8.5 L/100km on city driving

thanks alot bro for your opinion but any of u guys realise? proton website for all cars the price list unable to download? is there gonna be a discount? preve dropping price? LOL...if preve, persona and saga price range almost same how then?  icon_question.gif
*
Just go to showroom ask the sa how much the discount and price. You should test drive the car because we buy car to drive and not to see and sit only.

anyway,

Last time I have this problem, and I choose FLX SE over Persona B-Line becoz I'm very happy with the additional equipment (including leather seat and leather steering wheel) provided by the FLX SE, so I thought it would be more value for money, but think carefully, the Saga is never a Persona, even though people can say it's fast (1.6-litre Campro IAFM+ with CVT), it looks good (15-inch rim with body kit), the fact is that after I bought the car, it feels quite basic with cheap dashboard (it doesn't feel solid as the Persona),

The Saga has no auto driver power window like Persona, no auto door lock like Persona, no function from Persona like wiping the windscreen one time to remove mist, the door also feels very thin compared to Persona and doesn't close as solid as Persona, it does have leather seat and leather steering wheel but the steering tends to vibrate while the car is idle (Persona also like this but much-lesser vibration) and noise insulation is almost non-existant,

I can promise you the passenger on Saga will have a hard time talking to you when you travel on 120km/j and you will have difficulty hearing what they say, on Saga, noise from radio also will be overshadowed by the sound of engine, wind, and tyre roar, of course noise insulation material can be installed after you bought the car but it's a tedious work of opening the door panel and taking out the seats and mats for the installation, the installation also doesn't come cheap and it takes a while to install a full noise insulation material (covering floor, roof, engine compartment, door panel), Persona has this installed from factory

the CVT gearbox will give more jerk on traffic jam, sure it saves fuel but not much since the Saga is only 40-litre fuel tank capacity while Persona has 50-litre (about RM10 fuel filling difference?), so I think both lasted about the same mileage which is around 300km to 350km if you drive gently which is enough for my traveling requirement, Saga's digital fuel meter is also inaccurate compared to Myvi while Persona has a much better fuel gauge (not to mention Persona's speedometer always light up, very cool and convenient when going through tunnel or basement car park),

I do have concern over fuel consumption of Persona but I expect that the fuel save is not much different compared to FLX SE, mine can do 11-12km/liter, I expect Persona does a bit less but should still be in the affordable region of RM300 per month of my fuel budget, in the end until now I'm still thinking what if I bought Persona...., anyway good luck choosing the car you want  smile.gif

wow bro right now your making me think twice of choosing Saga Executive FLX SE....but the current persona is basic one? Is that ok compared to the latest saga se?
*
The current one is super value maa. Persona basic discontinued already.

persona basic ( base line )
-no sport rim
-no abs ebd
-no airbag
-no rear disc brake
-unpainted here and there

Now only has SV persona, the feature above all equip on SV but the price remain the same

Yup, i agree with the point, Persona not only feel solid, but it definitely more solid when i sit in. The door close is 'thud', thick door, good NVH, well i full soundproof my Saga but yet it only can reach stock Persona NVH, but mind you my Saga is the B-line BLM worth 36.5k @ new, even i add 4k soundproof my car still 40k only. Imagine FLX SE is a 50k car, how much soundproof you want to add? 4k also? Then better top up 6-7k more to Preve IAFM+, CVT also, but with much better ride and comfort.

I definitely agree, Saga is Saga, it will never be a Persona even add in all those accessories, because this car is just a basic affordable Sedan at 1st launch, without Myvi, i dun think Proton will release the face lift for this car again and again.

seems like a competition for MYVI...but how long takes to launch? I need a car asap.. sweat.gif hard to go work...raining and need to go far.. yawn.gif
*
Maybe another 3-6 month to go. If really need car and want save budget just go for saga sv bro only 36k. Save 12k for fuel. Else go for persona SV if your budget permit.

but bro saga sv got nothing inside like very empty compared to saga executive flx and SE FLX and persona...This gonna be my 1st car and minimum i will be using for 5-6 years...Im thinking for long time use.
*
Agree. But at least saga sv still got airbag. One more thing, buy car that you like, no need to think to change car again. Better go for persona SV than flx se imho.

yes bro..i made up my mind..you know anyone here using Fire Red for persona? I like that colour..but scare hard to maintain and late to get stock... sad.gif cuz my friend waited nearly 1 month plus for saga executive flx fire red
*
Idk. The most hardest colour to maintain is black and white. Red metallic is not that hard. Just wait lo, else you gonna regret entire of you owning the car because not get the favorite colour, nod.gif

Did you test drive already bro? 6 speed on cvt car is virtual only. If you turn on the SAT, the FC will be worst and jerking. The rpm also higher than normal thus it more noisy if SAT mode on.
