Hi bros with AR chassis , the side plate is it a big concern to use carbon reinforced or FRP is good enough for light dampers ? For semi speed setup .please advice . TQ
*
frp is good enough but if u got the budget, just go for hgc for harder and lighter part

QUOTE(iOnine @ Apr 22 2014, 10:13 AM)
as im a newb still,
heres from my point of view:

semi-speed - usually using power/sprint dash. typically minimum of 3 straights after a jump/slope.
semi-tech - usually using LD/TT/AT. typically 1 straight after a jump/slope. more to technical side like, bank - bank - single jump - bank or slope/jump - corner.

as for speed. no jump, no LC. just rainbow, straight and corners. typicaly using sprint or macdash.

speed-tech - errr never experience it before. lol.
thats it from a newbie like me.
perhaps more experienced and seasoned player will xplain further. haha.  thumbup.gif  rclxub.gif

Hello, a newbie here. Just bought my Tamiya yesterday. I'm all good for car parts/settings, but need help with battery. What is the best battery for Tamiya? My choices so far:
- Sanyo Eneloop
- GP
- Energizer
Which one's better, or is there any other choices? Thanks in advance!
*
among the 3, eneloop. energizer is heavy, unless u need your car to be heavy

better yet like other suggested get neochamp or eneloop lite

I want to play back! the last time i play tamiya was like 16 years ago. haha. Can all the sifu out there please help me, suggest which chassis should i use for starting.. need to buy lots of parts after this.

Someone suggest super 2 to me.. should i go for super 2 chasis first?
*
imo the easiest chassis to work on for beginners is s2 or ms since u can find tons of reference for setups on the net.
but if u already have ur own idea for setup then u can chose any chassis u like

Woww.. My friend have a vs chassis, old one. He bought that Many years ago. He want to give me, but is vs parts easy to find like s2? Or people dont use vs part anymore?
*
people do use vs and most parts are interchangeable. vs is very light, which is good but its kinda fragile and very easy to flex. its not a big problem if u know how to properly reinforce it but i wouldnt suggest it as a starter for beginners. plus chassis gets less durable with time and you said your friend bought it years ago? tongue.gif
