AT (CVT) can find showroom test.
only MT won't be available

so long not from tuners (aka tuna) it should be a decent buy.
since non T&H like proton/mitsubishi suck on resale value (which means you'd get a damn decent price for it)

in fact, if the used car you're getting is earlier batch enough, you can have all the wiring fitted on it to allow for easy fitting of stuffs like headlamp leveling switch tongue.gif

Long...long... story bro...

Bolting on other ride... i dunno...

BoT Inspira 1.8MT ... a big NoNo!
Warranty was 3 months on the BoT setup

1.Turbine Worn within 2nd month of usage
2.Engine Stalled into Safe mode frequently after revving (unresolved after multiple re-tuning)
3.Jerking occur while revving full throttle...

This was my case...
Errmmmm...
Another inspira BoT, in fact the 1st BoT customer... turbine blown on 1st month usage...
Ermmm... later replaced... then Engine Blown... due to Conrod patah... piston shoots engine block... GG
Thats about it
Want to try BoT... hehehhe

Power Wise, no doubt it was GOOD!!! Freaking GOOD!
RELIABILITY... masuk longkang...
*
well the question here is when they did the bolt on kit, did they understand how the lancer 1.8 works as compared to the 2.0, how much boost were they looking at and did they lower the compression

haha no la... i said before.. if i wanted to change engine, i would have bought the one with the engine already changed.. too poor to buy so many engines...

go nego la tongue.gif
must be a fully converted lala to lanser rite? tongue.gif
*
hahah unfortunately it was converted to look like a lancer but that wasnt the reason i bought it.. i dont really like converting my vehicles to look like something else...

generally, due to being on a tight budget, i needed to save some cash on things that needed to be changed. i.e. fully adjustable shocks, 17 inchers (only because 15s are too small and 16s are just stupid.) and the sunroof which @Quazacolt hates...

i was aiming for a car that would ferry my inlaws comfortably, look presentable and not like a racer wannabe but is able to give me a good run when i need it..

oh and the reason i bought this is because i was told its quite good...

one thing i trend on doing to my vehicles, is to squeeze as much juice out of it without changing its engine class with reliability (meaning on paper the block code must remain true to its original) and no engine change coz me cheapfag. so to get a fast yet reliable engine without upgrading takes a very long time... and when im done its prolly time to move on...

People go track with 15inch wor..sweat.gif sweat.gif
*
yea.. and im a big fan of 15 inchers actually... the only problem is... if u put 15s on that car it will look quite gay. its like owning a ducati with kapcai tyres.

QUOTE(MeToo @ Apr 1 2014, 10:32 AM)
1. U skin very thick hor... dare say your inspira same as Lancer  sweat.gif

2. If 16" is nonsense... how about 15" on inspira?
*
1. no la not thick. its true.. call it what you want, a proton is a cheap mitsu. i've always driven proton. and for its price, id say its quite good. yea its not GREAT, but it does what you pay for. and YES i CAN say an inspira IS a lancer, why? because it is a stripped down, rebadged rekitted lancer 1.8.
think about it, why would the lancer purists hate it so much? its not just because of the engine... its because no matter what they do to the car, it still looks like a lancer. from the back, it still looks the same...

the only thing is, i dont call my car a lancer. same as how i never called my satria a cyborg. the only thing i wished i could do was remove the mitsu badge off the car... i dont because if you remove the front one, it looks quite ugly.

2. refer to above.. hhahaa..i really love 15's even my myvi is running on ns2r's but like i said.. it'll look really weird...

now, the reason why i said 16s are a waste of time is because although 16s have more or less the tyres you can find for 15s: im not a rich man, i dont pretend to be. so i always check out value for money... through my experience, tyres and brakes are more important than how much power you can stuff in your engine (when you spin out and crash as much as i did) that is why i used to run r888 on a daily driver.... but the money you pay for 16s with the ammount of rubber you get isnt very logical to me.

if i could pull off running on 15s on my inspira id do it.. but well.. there is so much u can do to try not to look strange.

But 15inch is very light weight wor..can go even faster on track. We got people here using 16inch fd3s rims on their car..the jj and offset is quite impressive. Most importantly, it is light weight..but tyres very hard to find..biggrin.gif

Well the rumour mill says some wellknown lynspira GURU is running 15" on their ride.....  whistling.gif
*
haha kill 2 birds with 1 stone:

yup if i were all about racing and speed i would, but this car for me is a class upgrade... i no longer wish to be a racer/ricer wannabe. and i dont race on the track thats why i've got this now.... i mean yea, the car will be modded with some go fast bits but its not really about that anymore.

btw guys, how to properly launch a car? for 0-100 drag purposes? (tips on cutting down time etc)
ideal shifting points and what not?

nzh0920
*
rev up to 4k. handbrake on, float the clutch to biting point, on go handbrake down floor it and drop the clutch.

u will get minimal wheelspin and all the go

but just fyi.. u wont get it right the first time.

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Apr 8 2014, 03:08 PM)
thanks for the tip bro!

i actually had like 8 or 9 tries circling around MEX/PTJ/cyber for an hour+ until traffic start to populate cuz was frustrated on the timing haha

btw handbrake really needed to launch? i've read a bit and they don't do handbrakes at all (since it is assumed that the ground is leveled to not require brake/handbrake)
also anything above 3k rpm = wheelspin like mad so i typically try between 2-3k rpm ranges sad.gif
god damnit cc5 LOL
*
handbrake is used because you want the clutch to catch. the thing about launching without handbrake is that you rev more than you drop the clutch thus causing the wheelspin. its not really the tyres... i have launched well even on sime astar before. 2-3k will give u no wheelspin but u will realize that your time drops because it takes too long to build up power. undershift 1st gear as u dont get power all the way to the max rev. meaning if ur rev has changed to 7k, 1st gear doesnt deliver power up to 7k. if you already have a dyno chart, it would be easier to see. my old satrias best power came when shifting at 5.5 or so.

ahh ok now that makes sense! thanks for the info biggrin.gif

so basically i should shift 2nd ASAP? maybe around... 5? since you advised to rev till 4k rpm. (takes less than a second to reach 5k rpm from 4 if i'm flooring)
*
i need to feel it... and shifting for a drag is slightly different compared to normal driving... your throttle needs to lag abit.

QUOTE(T630 @ Apr 9 2014, 12:11 AM)
if u early shift the next gear rpm will drop below the power band n u need more time to climb back up so need longer time... shifting at 7krpm is not to gain current gear power but to maintain next gear at optimum power band to accelerate faster... me cheapskate car dyno power band is at 4.5krpm so by shifting to 2nd gear after 6.5krpm to avoid 2nd gear drop below 4.5krpm... but of course have to couple with good tyres lar... me 5yrs n7000 2nd gear 5krpm will wheelspin... sweat.gif
*
the trick is the timing of the feet. if you shift traditionally, then yes, your power drops and you have to climb again. however, keep in mind that first and second is very short thus the power range in the revs are slightly different. also, in between shifts, like i said above you need to time your feet slghtly off compared to when driving normally.
the right way would be to double clutch, but in reality, you wont have time for this. but the concept is the same. normal ppl would either flip the gas off early then clutch in then gear in then clutch out and gas. what we usually do is clutch in and a split second after clutching you release the gas causing a blip in the revs then shift, and as you are about to drop the clutch (yes drop it), gas on but dont floor it.. ease it in...

but... generally, everyone has their way... heheh... even heel toes are very different for everyone.

very good place la, end to end TWO round abouts and i was just practicing for about an hour non stop lol... after practice still can go to shitty mc d for hashbrowns sweat.gif

on video/meter though it's about 10s sharp if you count the time i jumped clutch but on gps/app since the car was wheel/clutch spinning speed haven't picked up so the timer didn't started yet?
