yaya true... oh ya btw, i just made myself into another "trap" again... had made a booking of 2.0P (yr2013) on last Saturday, passing all the necessary doc to SA just now.. now I have some 'fobia' feel of getting into trouble again.
rev up to 4k. handbrake on, float the clutch to biting point, on go handbrake down floor it and drop the clutch.
u will get minimal wheelspin and all the go
but just fyi.. u wont get it right the first time.
thanks for the tip bro!
i actually had like 8 or 9 tries circling around MEX/PTJ/cyber for an hour+ until traffic start to populate cuz was frustrated on the timing haha
btw handbrake really needed to launch? i've read a bit and they don't do handbrakes at all (since it is assumed that the ground is leveled to not require brake/handbrake) also anything above 3k rpm = wheelspin like mad so i typically try between 2-3k rpm ranges god damnit cc5 LOL
so tomorrow onwards i need to go bank n jpj to settle stuff... out of the suddent the thing happen so fast lolz!? I macam feel like not prepare to accept lehh
handbrake is used because you want the clutch to catch. the thing about launching without handbrake is that you rev more than you drop the clutch thus causing the wheelspin. its not really the tyres... i have launched well even on sime astar before. 2-3k will give u no wheelspin but u will realize that your time drops because it takes too long to build up power. undershift 1st gear as u dont get power all the way to the max rev. meaning if ur rev has changed to 7k, 1st gear doesnt deliver power up to 7k. if you already have a dyno chart, it would be easier to see. my old satrias best power came when shifting at 5.5 or so.
ahh ok now that makes sense! thanks for the info
so basically i should shift 2nd ASAP? maybe around... 5? since you advised to rev till 4k rpm. (takes less than a second to reach 5k rpm from 4 if i'm flooring)
if u early shift the next gear rpm will drop below the power band n u need more time to climb back up so need longer time... shifting at 7krpm is not to gain current gear power but to maintain next gear at optimum power band to accelerate faster... me cheapskate car dyno power band is at 4.5krpm so by shifting to 2nd gear after 6.5krpm to avoid 2nd gear drop below 4.5krpm... but of course have to couple with good tyres lar... me 5yrs n7000 2nd gear 5krpm will wheelspin...
that's the problem lo, on 2nd gear (first also got no doubt) keep wheel spinning, what the f***.
i'm thinking if i should clutch smoother, but then within 10 second time frame, it's really hard to further smoothen out my clutch pedal while still maintaining fast up shifting speeds >_<

some information on digressive vs progressive
brief guide on how to read valving graphs
How the shims work/alter the suspensions' behavior
Koni's shocks for references
can ignore the anime characters lol... this is basically the internal design/structure (and where the shims are configured) of the digressive/progressive piston. this is where the piston oil flow are controlled based on the low to high speed force it has received
While it is unfortunate that there are no inspira test car available as we are THE FIRST to do it; so be among the pioneers to experience digressive/progressive suspension technology where it's normally available in brands such as KW/Bilstein that AT LEAST cost twice the price (>RM6k) if not much more.
