EBC Redstuff for my rear brake has arrived biggrin.gif

Package front:

Package bottom:

Package content (brake pads, wear indicator pin, caliper pin grease):

Stock brake pad (rotor looks dull):

After run-in for about 50km (notice the more shiny rotor compared to the above picture tongue.gif ):

Initial observation with Redstuff on the rear:
After run-in for about 50km, the new pad bites more compared to the stock pad. I can feel ABS kicking in for rear if I brake harder. With stock brake pad, I can hardly lock my rear tire - front will lock first. However, there is quite apparent low pitch grinding noise during low speed braking like 10km/h or below. No comment about dust yet, too early to tell. Well, Redstuff is rated to be low dust anyway. Used to be dull looking rotor, now shinning with Redstuff. Just hope that it will not eat my rotor for breakfast, lunch and dinner cool2.gif

Pros:
Very good bite even at low temperature.

Cons:
Grinding noise during low speed braking.

from picture there's both front and rear pads, separate shipping from amazon (basically pay shipping twice in full price lol) to avoid import tax deposit and reduce chance of customs (didn't got tax lol)
*
The picture is showing rear pads nia.
Front pads still in shipment. Like Quazacolt said, I have to purchase them separately to avoid import tax deposit as well as reduce the chance of customs kacau. But have to pay full shipping for every order cry.gif

on your package content picture seems to be showing both sides? (since the brake pads' shapes are different lol)
*
Each side needs 2 pieces of pad. So you need 4 pieces for both sides.
The pad to the left of the picture will be fitted to the inner of the rotor while the pad with metal hook (to the right of the picture) will be fitted outer. Some cars have both inner and outer brake pad same shape/size but not our lala. However, the brake pad surface area is identical.

Bro.. from your picture.. it seems like the Lancer GT bigger disc brakes uses the same REAR pads!!!

smaller disc.. the bigger piece are inside .. the smaller piece are outside ..
bigger disc.. the bigger piece are outside.. smaller piece are inside..

later i got time i go check it out.. since got one set bigger disc laying around.. and my stock one also laying around
*
QUOTE(Quazacolt @ May 4 2014, 10:20 AM)
can assume the bigger lancer gt discs are on different bracket, and due to the bracket design, the different pad shapes are swapped as you mentioned?
*
I see that the bigger rear rotor has different part number wor... but no picture or dimension mentioned for me to compare la.
Kenny, after you check let us know. Best if can fit rclxms.gif so next time can upgrade without changing brake pad, provided still thick tongue.gif

might want to read this up and re-evaluate the brake pads after bedding in

the locking/sharp brakes are probably the bedding in coating acting sweat.gif
*
Ah, you got it. Thanks for the link. I will bed in more then post my findings later. biggrin.gif

From the picture, looks like noise reduction shim is removable? Mine is not, like welded to the brake pad.

I think its for the cvt to track how far have u travel and determine how dirty the lub and how much power or torque to reduce in order to protect the cvt.
