Anyone knows which Smart LED TV that supports or plays rmvb movies without third party software like Plex? Sony or LG?

Before this, I emailed LG support about this issue. They replied their LG models are not support rmvb due to copyright issue. Then, they suggested to use Plex or Nero Home to play rmvb movie... Is there any LG LED TV user try this before?

Oh yes. Panasonic supports rmvb. The model that under my consideration is Panasonic TH-L50BL6K. But, I think its picture quality is not as good as other LG or Sony models (similar spec one).

Both my 3 and 4 years old Samsung 5 series supported RMVB as well as DTS HD MA audio.

The problem with my samsung are;
(1) it cannot support dolby HD sad.gif
(2) bigger USB HDD than 2TB cannot be supported
(3) screen seems getting smaller over time cry.gif

Dont know if you will like it or not...

Choose the best tv colors + specs and ignore the "smart",

Buy android box and you will enjoy.

Hi, genjo. My current setting is like what u said. I'm using Philips media player and connect it to my LCD TV. It can play rmvb.

But, now, I'm looking for new Smart TV that can play rmvb without third party media player... Hope to get all-in-one 'box'...

Finally, I choose LG 47LA7400 as my new TV set. I plan to buy it from Lazada.

Anyone bought TV from Lazada before? Is it ok?

Im from Kuantan. The price that quoted from local electrical shop here is higher than Lazada (need to pay around RM1k more for LG 47LA7400). So bad. Not so many choices here.

Get a basic tv and a media player and call it the day.
Why want to make your life complicated?
Media player have digital output, which will be good if you have Av amp.

What you said was right, partially was due to my own interest while my wife has no comment except keep telling anything should be lower than 2.5K on TV will do as she reluctant to spend over by judging how fast a new TV were introduced nowadays.

I decided to go for cheap TV perhaps the H5552 will be my current last options.. or the LG UB820T to keep at anything 2.5K below and spend wisely.

I only prefer Japanese brand, no Korean brand for me.
But once you have a TV, a media player, an AV amp with DVD player, you end up with 4 remotes doh.gif

Supersound, how about going for Sony 48W600B i saw Aeon Jusco selling at 2399 when i last visited about few days back. Perhaps, i could reduce those remote control problems by getting a same brand console where they can do universal control as to what i know.

You need to watch it your self and judge it.
