Had any owners here experienced YLOD with this model before? Because I had heard PS3 slim Cech-2000 YLOD case b4 but I still never heard about 3000 and above model having YLOD. Just wondering coz I just bought Slim 3000 model to replace my old fat PS3 due to YLOD.
I want to estimate how long before my new ps3 dies again

an in case you're wondering cech-3000 is the second version of PS3 slim without the chrome finishing and a smaller fan.

PS3 slim models are very rare case of YLOD

Yea ps3 slim very rare ylod. Its a pretty tough model compared to ps3 phat.

After every hardware revision, the stability of the product improves.

Look at the historical hardware issues of PS, PS2 and PS3, then you get the idea.

I own the CECH-2006A, but there is no chrome finishing & no YLOD.

i became really paranoid after my first PS3 died

for how long had you own the Slim?

2000 n 3000 more or less is improving the power usage and heat reduction on the GPU & CPU... so the fan sizes does the job for each model..

ppl can tell how long their ps3 last.. but its actually differs from 1 to another, eg. as 1 would hv it on 7 hrs a day mostly using as media player only.. while some full blast gaming 10 hours perday would not have the same effect of wear and tear..

how long will a ps3 last id say its actually about 1.5 years coz that is usually the warranty offerred...

after that most probably some parts would start to fail even if there is no YLOD like Lens, Hdd, Power supply..
