Hi all GEN2 car owners here.

New to your Forum here but regular to the GEN2CLUB forum.

From what I heard the G2C forum is migrating to a higher bandwidth and storage. And the host is no more sponsoring us. So ...Money matter !!!! sad.gif sad.gif

When they are going to back online...... Don't know but don't hold your breath. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

.................................................................................................................

The Hotbits exhuast system is currently used by some of our members...Gen2Club Performance team. But it has to be to your liking.

This is a) General use or b) Track use.

General use = Go to work and once a while on the H'way. So Better pickup at low RPM with Mid to High RPM = Good pickup. Fuel consumption = OEM. Sound - Sightly louder than orginal.

Track Use = In Sepang Int' Circuit (F1) with good pick up at low BUT EXCELLENT mid to top end RPM. Fuel consumption = SUCKS !! 10 to 15 l/100km. Louder than orginal.

So know what you want to match your driving style.

Hope this helps!!! cool.gif cool.gif

PS:- Please REV your engine for pick up. Campro engine is designed for that kind of driving style.

Guys & Gals,

The GEN2 car brakes is rather "soft" so as not to cause wheel lock ...thus....SKIDDING. And the brake pads...BOSCH .. has lots of dust which causes the wheel to be dirty quickly. So there is nothing much that can be done with the OEM braking system. shakehead.gif shakehead.gif

I was rather disappointed with the OEM brakes as they does not stop fast and the brakes becomes "spongy" when push hard. So after checking around...HOPE the following is of use.

If there is a need to "Upgrade" then suggest that the following be done in stages:-

a) Pads ...... Use metallic pads from other manufactures. BOSCH pads are "soft" types. Brands like "FORODO", "Delco", Bendix","EBC", etc. are good.
b) Brake Hose & brake fluid. ..... Use "Stainless Braided Hose" like Pro RS with DOT4 brake fluid.DOT5.1 Not recommended as it is rather corrosive to the rubber seals in the brake system.
c) Brake Pump .... Upgrade to a BIGGER brake pump.
d) Clippers ( Big Lump which houses the Brake Pads ).... MAJOR Upgrade to better clippers like "ENDLESS", " VTTR", "BREMBO", etc. with matching Brake pads.
e) Brake disk rotor...... MAJOR upgrade. See matching disk rotor to the clippers. PS:- Slotted disk are for serious TRACK use which ONLY last a few races. Need to be constantly check as they then to crack !!!! Nice to see though.

IMO the stages a) and b) is sufficient if you travel in town and at H\ways. cool.gif

If for high speed ....... then c) is required. thumbup.gif

For Track then d) and e) is also required... icon_rolleyes.gif

Hope this helps. OEM pads...BOSCH .. cost about RM 180/= for the front pair. Check for equivalent like FORODO, MINTEX, Delco, EBC which cost slightly more. Surely money well spend.

Of course...your TYRES are also important... Another major tropic !!! rclxub.gif rclxub.gif
